Im not high on him at all but at the bottom 1/4 of the 1st theres value for him.
The giants need talent everywhere the worse thing they could do is draft a QB at 6 or 17. The have enough fraft capital to sneal back in at the end of the 1st and get a guy to sit behind Eli for a year.

I am of the opinion that if you don't have a QB, and you have the chance to rectify that situation, it's negligence not to do so. Eli is entering the last year of his contract which means after this season they don't have a QB. I am not taking a guy I don't believe in or who "may develop" that highly. May as well take one of the other generic QB's in the 4th instead. I either take a QB I have conviction on or I don't take a QB at all. That means taking one / trading up from 6 or waiting until next year. I could respect the decision to simply say screw it and pass on all of them WAY more than I would taking a shot at #37. That is hedging bets at it's finest. QB is a very simple process. Watch the film, talk to the kid and ask yourself honestly "is this a franchise QB?" If yes then take him and take him early. If no -- why bother unless you just need a cheap backup?

J B Stoner had a add on TV that I can’t even quote on here unless I got permission from Tim first. He was running for President and used the N word in the commercial on TV. This was in Georgia in the 70’s.

@ xinik There are a lot of draftniks that get stuck in the value trap mindset.

The Giants select the best hair and D-lineman coming out of Michigan this year.

    Chase Winovich, EDGE, Michigan

When I sit down to watch Gary's film it's not Gary that stands out to me -- it's Wino.

I can get behind value proposition for a lot of things. But you know what a value QB is? A hope and a prayer. Sure sometimes it works out, but not very often. In this years class pick #37 should be an immediate contributor. I would much rather swing big when it comes to QB than try to sac fly at that position. Maybe you get Montana in the 3rd or Brady in the 6th. But more times than not you get Davis Webb who can't even seem to find his footing as a primary back-up. QB success rate drops off WILDLY after selection 16 in R1.
