@DrDavidChao1 says he believes it’s a bruised Rotator Cuff. Great follow on Twitter by the way. 2-3 week recovery no long term issues.
Watching this again and watching those last two blocks that cleared the way for Hester both demolishing they knocked them both into next toothsday. Hahahaha Nicely done! I believe was canceled according to the NFL Channel because of a mysterious van parked outside the stadium.
The more I think about this game and Trub's injury the more concerned I become. Then I remind myself that if we can somehow pull this one out, we'll be only 1 game behind a first round bye.
I don't think he's ready to play. I'd like to think if he was then he'd be starting. If he is and they're sitting him, yeah, terrible idea.
The thing is....it's being reported by the team that it's not a significant long term injury and that he "could" play. Now either they are lying and it's a more significant injury...something I doubt or they are telling the truth and he actually could play. If they are telling the truth then they have the big picture in mind and don't want to take a risk and play their franchise and risk a bigger injury. And that's fine. But that also means they believe, after last week, that Chase Daniel is a legit NFL backup that can start at any time. I....don't feel as confident in that as they apparently do. I think we were lucky to get a win with Daniel under center and really wouldn't risk trying it again unless I 100% had to. What kinda bugs me is, I'm no doctor, but I did work on the training staff for a college team for a few years and if it is the AC joint or rotator cuff and it's a bruise....the chance to make the injury worse is almost nonexistent.
If I wasn't a Bears fan....I'd probably be favoring the Giants in this game. I think the weapons they have on offense can spread the Bears defense out and if Eli is getting rid of the ball fast the pass rush can be neutralized. And Barkley...is a really good NFL running back. Really good. And he can catch the ball coming out of the backfield. The Bears should have been able to win this game with their offense...going against a not so good Giants defense. They are in the bottom half and often in the bottom 10 in all areas on defense just about. But with Daniel and not Trubisky.....trying to win with your offense becomes harder. Maybe I'm just over thinking it but you don't want to add this game to the pile of should have won but lost games this season.
If he could play, don't you think he would be throwing a little in practice, or at the very least demonstrate he can lift his arm over his head? Unless they truly do have him wrapped in bubble wrap in cautious miscalculation.
If he currently can't throw or lift his arm above his head....it's a very significant injury with long term, meaning the rest of this season into the playoffs, consequences. But the team is insisting it's not serious and he could play. If he can play....he should be playing. And it bothers me they think Daniel is good enough to win. If he can't actually play....I'm bothered even more. One because they are lying and two because we need Mitch.
Well lets keep in mind the Bears said last week that if they'd played the Loins on a sunday, Trubisky could've played. Well we know now that this was a lie. If a QB still isn't even lifting his arm above his head 3days after the game he supposedly could've played in, then the original claim is total horseshit imo. So if they can lie about that they can lie about it again. What concerns me is we're already almost 2weeks on since the injury and this is where we are? Can't even throw? Thats not day to day and fuck off Bears trying to sell us that shit. Im just praying he can come back for the Rams game, cos the Chase Daniel window is officially closed in monday. I hate it when the team strings it out like this. I keep thinking of the Urlacher injury in 2012. They spent the entire fucking offseason saying its not serious its not serious, he doesn't need a scope. It dragged on and on until finally i think it was preseason before they were like yeah he's gonna need surgery. BUT, if this is all simply a case of the Bears being hyper-cautious re Trubisky and not playing him when they could then im not behind that personally. If a guy can play then you have to play him.
Great work guys. First thing i thought after reading the OP is the Giants are better than this record. They should be 3-0 since their bye. They should've beaten Atlanta. A month ago this looked like a team that was ripe to tank, but having seen them play a bit recently they're still playing hard. If the Bears come out slow or play sloppy they're gonna get smacked in the mouth. The Giants are worse in both trenches and have a terrible QB, that should be an open and shut case.... Teams have been running all over the Giants since Harrison left, id really love to see the Bears try to take the game out of Daniel's hands a little bit sunday. Even for our OL which has been far from dominant in the run game, this should be a matchup they win. I they they can run on the Giants but will they? I don't want to see Daniel dropping back 40+ times again but it really wouldn't surprise me if he did. That opening series in Detroit where Nagy didn't run the ball once told you a lot. But do you think you could shelve the pass back to the QB this week Nagy? It might be in everyone's interests. I mean there's running your Offense your way and then there's just straight taking the piss. Oh and while im making requests stop with the stupid 2-pointers in the first half and just let your $5mil Kicker do his job. Thanks much.
I'm sure he will play but when you're a big guy like that...having a bad wheel can be devastating to your burst off the line and when you're trying to plow through blockers.
This is no bueno... He did not participate yesterday. We'll see what the report for today is. Trubisky was again limited. The instersting thing is that i can't find anywhere where Nagy says Trubisky definitely won't play. He is saying things like we're "probably" not playing him. and we "likely" will want to rest him again as a precation. Unless one of you have, I have not seen him listed as "out" yet. i'm wondering if he's going to pull a fast one?
