3 Plays....

    1) Trubisky throws 1 yard further against the Patriots.

    2) Refs don't blow a OPI call on Bears when a defensive player runs into our players, while Mitch still had the ball in his fucking hand... against Miami.

    3) Bears convert 3rd and 2 from the Packers 14 with 2:30 to go.

While we can go through and pick out more key plays in each of those games, each is kinda the "nail" play. The first was the nail that ended the game. #2, and #3 could have been the nails to seal the wins and instead they went the other way.

Those 3 plays are the difference between us being undefeated and where we are.

I would have picked Fuellers dropped pick and Parkey's missed FG instead. Speaking of, anyone have a nick name for Parkey?

Playing devil's advocate, but what about the at least three plays that went in favor of the Bears that could have been game changers. There were a couple of dropped INTs that come to mind. One less Pats fumble and it's a wider margin.

But I'm certainly pleased with how this season has gone in terms of the overall competitiveness. They have had at least a 2 possession lead in every game and have had a decent shot until time expired.

Anybody catch that Michael Jordan promo for Rodgers vs Brady? Very well done.

A couple plays could have turned the Cardinals or Seahawks game. We're 4-3 and 0-1 in the division. That's the record we deserve.

The next litmus test is the divisional games like you said. Need to take care of divisional business full stop.

I guess this is my point.

I noted that there are some key plays in each loss that probably would have lead to a win... Today I was standing at the game with my kiddos. It was cold and fucking rainy. But my 3 year old did not want to leave.

I thought about the "one" play that changed the game.

There wasn't one. We were better. We deserved the win.

In our 3 losses, the only game we "maybe" deserved to lose was the Patriots.

We've lost 3 game because of a bad play, or a bad coaching call, or a bad rookie QB decision.

We are better than our record.

I get the Cardinals game being close bothering some but I will never understand anyone who doesn’t see the Seattle game as an impressive victory. I would think it was closer to a couple of plays making it a blow out than a possible loss.

Yep let’s not diminish that win, all the sweeter since I live in Seattle. The offense was stagnant but the defense was stifling.

  9. By nature, I have a hard time looking at the positives.

    Shoulda coulda woulda.

    Didn’t.

And the bears are undefeated when I put my Bears flag out. I’ve been too hung over and/or forgot to do it on EVERY loss.

I don't disagree. My point though is that a Seahawks fan could say, well if Prince hadn't hung on to that pick 6 the game would have been tied at the end of regulation and then Seahawks win in OT. But that's not what happened. Bears were the better team that night and deserved the win.

With all due respect to Mongo, I don't like playing the what if game, unless it's a bad injury that hurts us and then I can't help myself.

If we are better than our record then we're going to start closing out games in the 4th quarter, unlike what we did in GB and Miami, and we will win games within the division. I'm still doubtful but hopeful.
