Things to Watch - Bears -vs- Patriots

I'm with vvarder for the most part. The "sky is falling" going on in this thread feels pretty out of nowhere. That loss to Miami stung and showed a lot of flaws. But losing in OT on the Road isn't the worst thing at the end of the day.

And yeah, it absolutely sucks that of all teams coming to Soldier Field after such a debilitating loss, it has to be the Patriots. if Brock Lobster could disect our defense with quick passes, WTF is Tom Brady gonna do?

I totally get the concern, and Nagy has dissapointed me thus far too. But still, I wouldn't say the season is over. At the start of the year if you had said the Bears would start out 3-3 you probably would have been mostly content.

 

Brock didn’t dissect shit. His best pass went off Amos. We gave him those stats with shitty tackling. We picked him off twice. Brady will be a challenge but let’s not get carried away with how awsome Brock was.

 

Sorry, what I was getting at was Brock Lobster "disected" just by just throwing short throw/screen after short throw/screen. He didnt throw a ball that travelled more than 9 yards in the air the whole game.

Cutting up a team with short quick passing is basically Tom brady's MO the past 5 years at least. If Brock Osweiler can succeed doing it, just imagine what Brady can do.

 

Mack's status is up in the air for Sunday. He's never missed a start in his career, this could be the first time. Odds of us winning if he doesn't play 0%. Odds of us winning if he plays injured 10%.

 

What is his injury? Is it his ankle?

 

I hope they are just being careful. Give him a full weeks rest so it’s not a lingering problem. The fact he continued to play without really favoring it tells me it’s just a tweak. We shall see. Either way I was a bit surprised at the 3 point spread. Should be a close game.

I wish to fuck I had a good reason to not be such a pessimist, but a couple of kinda, gee, I hope, it sorta looks, maybe, if only, games does not inspire me vs the best coached, best QBed, best prepared team of the modern era. I hate the cheating fucks, but there’s no arguing with their track record vs ours.

I’m a believe it when I see it guy. What I’ve seen is the Bears choke, barely beat 2 bad teams, get a gift wrapped game to them, then lose to another terrible team.

 

I don't mean to split hairs but wouldn't that be "de-nut" himself. Seriously though, he probably nuts himself everyday, but that is an entirely different subject for an entirely different forum in most cases. Hell I'll nut myself win or lose just saying.

$10,000 for the Amendola body slam
$20,000 for the non hit on Brock

 

Wait....what in the actual fuck? You're telling me, that the league reviewed the high five Floyd gave Brock........AND DECIDED THIS WAS WORTH $20k???

It has to be another hit sometime in the game right? I mean there is no possible way the league is this stupid.
