Wow. I can’t believe that these weird streaks seem unstoppable. At least you guys only play the Dolphins every four years. Thanks for the tip Mongo, there was no way I would have picked the Dolphins otherwise.
Does anyone feel good about Cody Parkey as long term solution? I don't. First clutch kick of his Bear tenure and he missed it.
Nagy keeps trying cute shit, before inevitably going back to the simple stuff that works. Too bad it's too late... Mack got hurt, and went invisible. Turns out, when you have no OLB's (was Floyd on the field?), its hard to stop anyone. And letting Gore run over you all day doesn't help. Hey, Nagy - run Howard up the middle over the course of the game, not all at once in overtime. And maybe not out of the shotgun, at some point?
It was a 53 yarder. While we need a kicker that can make those...it’s by absolutely no means a gimme and the snap was awful.
If Nagy throws it on 3rd down and picks up a 1st....you get either a closer field goal or you extend the drive. That was just a shit decision.
The pass rush was absolutely horrible. Nothing all game long. The only ones I remember were DBs blitzing or Floyd brushing him and getting a penalty. Tackling was shit. The ran over the bears. Offense looked great the third quaett and for the most part the 4th quarter. Horrible fucking turnovers. "Can't turn the ball over and expect to win the football game." Trubisky settled in nicely though .Made a lot of good throws and was finding the open receiver. Obviously bad start and bad decision on the pick, but overall made some good throws. Smith and Jackson are two that jumped out at me as ones making tackles and not missing. Bt the number of runs that got yardage tells me there is a good chance that Smith and the rest of the LBs missed a good bit. Fucking bears. Whenever I start buying into them they rip your heart out.
I don't care how many "chances" we had after the TD reversal. I don't care about the play calling. Or the turnover. The entire game pivoted on that bad PI call. Period.
I saw players quit on plays I saw players bickering during plays I saw players on defense confused by what the offense was doing all game long Those are all coaching problems This team was not ready to play coming off a bye
You’re right But the officials didn’t make the Bears miss a tackle on just about every play of the game. That 75 yard touchdown? How is that acceptable?
Brock Osweiler continues his stellar performances against us. 3-0 all against Fangio's D. Probably his best 3 games of his career. Next week we're facing a QB who is 4-0 against us. The pressure is all on the defense now to get their act together. Mack's injury doesn't excuse Floyd being a piece of shit nor the terrible tackling across the board. It could get very ugly next week, as it usually does when we play Brady.
In a crazy game you can spread a ton of blame but when it all comes down to it Bears had 1st and 10 at the Miami 41 with 3 plus minutes left in OT. They come away with 0 points and leave 1:55 on the clock. Nagy needs to grow the fuck up as a play caller/head coach.
It's not. Neither was the shit conservative play calling. Neither was the bad snap. Neither was the 3rd and 11 where Amos tipped the ball to the second receiver and had he turned it may have been a pick. Neither was the fucking retarded mis-use of timeouts at the end of regulation that forced us to go to OT instead of having the ball with over a mnute and a timeout to go... Almost everything we did bad after the reversal was inexcusible. But... None of that should have happened because we should have been up 28-13 on a team that would have felt completely defeated and probably quit.
It’s hard to get to the QB when he gets rid of it quickly as was the game plan. When you let short passes go for 75 and 43 yard TDs you have a. Giver problem.
Bears had chances to sack Osweiler The guy is a shit QB and we made him look like a star May have been the worst performance as a Bear I’ve seen from Hicks The entire defense looked like they stayed out late partying last night because they’ve been reading their own press too much
Except for the game saving strip in OT at the goal line that was wasted because Nay played to try a 53 yard FG.
A couple thoughts. Yes, the defense did not play well. Remember though the bears turned the call over 3 times. Considering that, and considering they forced 3 of their own. I’d say the defense played well enough to win even with the bad day they had overall. Lovie was right about a few things after all. You can’t turn the ball over as much as we did. Nagy has another horrible game. Just run a fucking nfl play sometimes man, I’m tired of throwing the ball backworsa and losing yards. Brock osweiler did not complete a pass where the ball travelled more than 9 yards past the line of scrimmage thru the air. Think about that. Jordan Howard took himself off the field after his two big runs in OT. I’m sorry, but fuck you Jordan. You want the ball more? Stay on the goddamn field when the game is literally in your hands to win, you fuck. I’m still mostly mad a nagy. But yeah.
I was up super late last night so had to watch this game on DVR just now. My blame right now: 1) Nagy. This team obviously came out FLAT as fuck, and with a 2 minute warning and what like 6 seconds before it, you're not even going to attempt a pass to get that 1st down? Turtling down at the WRONG fucking time. He did good things but man does he get way too fucking cute at times. 2) Refs. I take back everything I said about the Bears getting breaks, because that shit sure as hell evened out here. Roughing the passer because your shoulder bumps him? Fuck off. Offensive pass interference at the goal line, taking away a TD, next play Trubs pulls a Cutler. I also get the call on Floyd on Amendola, but to me, I agree with Howie Long at halftime, "If Amendola's not going to give up, what's he supposed to do? The refs need to blow the whistle". Technically it was unecessary roughness after the play, yet the whistle hadn't yet blown. His real stupidity was flipping him though, he grabs the leg and drives him down it's probabl fine. 3) Defense. No, Go Bearsssss don't give them a pass. Zero fucking pass rush. Brock fucking Osweiler dropped 28 points. 28 POINTS. Were they gassed for the OPENING fucking drive where they gave up a TD? Was Mack injured then? And who taught these fuckers to tackle with their arms tucked into their sides launching at people? I've never seen so many hurdles. To be fair, they did good things too, that goal line stop was amazing. 4) Offense. Trubs was channeling his inner Cutler today at times, man some of those throws were scary, but he also had some REALLY big plays. But as this is my blame list, the biggest blame they get is turning the ball over. RBs need to hang on to the ball, and Trubs has to be smarter. 5) Special Teams. I know it's not a gimmie, but man, you need to snap well there, and you sure as shit need to hit it. Clutch kicking is way too important.
