If you haven't read it yet, there's a pretty good article over on PFT. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...eveland-browns-fmia-peter-king/?cid=rotoworld
Backs are too the wall now, but it ain't over yet. Three game winning streaks have happened before..The bats have got to come to life. Fire up Jobu's Rum, or sacrifice a chicken or something.......One game at a time. Go Tribe! Don't count this guy out...That was brutal in Houston, but just like what happened to us last year against the Yanks, a series can change in a hurry...Gotta relax and hit the ball. Can't win if we can't score...
I'm posting this a little early, somehow hoping it will effect the universe, but wow....Uhmmm yeah. ^^^^just forget all that..Was hoping the Indians could bring a little something today.....Astros way too much for the Tribe to handle. What can I say? One of the most non-competitive series' I've ever seen in my life. Sometimes ya just gotta tip your cap to the clearly superior team...The Champs are looking strong as hell. FWIW, my money is on Houston to repeat.
Im just glad I was already taking a personal day tomorrow, but, damn Indians!, now all the Asstro fans that I work with are going to hit me with "it was so bad you needed a day off, huh?"
A man approaches his best friend's wife one day when her husband is at the office. "Will you have sex with me?" he asks. "No. My husband wouldn't approve." "O.K. What if I give you $1000?" "Well, for a $1000 I think I will. Come back tomorrow afternoon when my husband is at work." So the man shows up next day and slaps $1000 on the table and they do whatever it was they did. In the evening her husband comes home a little distraught: "Was my best friend here today?" "Y-y-yes." his wife says with concern. "And did he leave $1000?" "Y-y-yes." she says expecting the worst. "Oh good, what a great pal he is. He came in this morning and asked if he could borrow $1000 from me and promised to return it this afternoon!"
Four Catholic Men and a Catholic Woman Were Having Coffee in St. Peter's Square. The first Catholic man tells his friends, "My son is a priest, when he walks into a room, everyone calls him 'Father'". The second Catholic man chirps, "My son is a Bishop. When he walks into a room people call him 'Your Grace'". The third Catholic gent says, "My son is a Cardinal. When he enters a room everyone says 'Your Eminence'". The fourth Catholic man then says, "My son is the Pope. When he walks into a room people call him 'Your Holiness'". Since the lone Catholic woman was sipping her coffee in silence, the four men give her a subtle, "Well...."? She proudly replies, "I have a daughter, slim, tall, 38D - 24 - 36 When she walks into a room people say, "Jeeeeeeeeeesssssssuuussss!"
The Hard Knocks effect is fading. Thank God. The Browns had become the darlings of the NFL following Hard Knocks, and putting up some valiant games, even winning two, but after last week's decidedly lopsided loss, the bloom is off the rose. Up until this week, the Browns got a lot of "airtime" on the national shows, talking up the "legit D" and the "firebrand QB". That ended last week, not to say it couldn't be rekindled, but for now at least, we are back to just being the Browns. Hopefully the team stops reading the press releases, touting how good they are, and how they could be 5 and 0, and start focussing on the task at hand. I expect a much stronger, and sustained effort from the team this week. Minus a number of key guys it will be tough, to say the least, but I would expect we won't see a "play to play" breakdown like last week. We may well fall to Tampa, but I doubt we will be saying the team gave up. Last week it felt like they were lost, confused and surrendered. Now that the shooting star has burned out, it's time to man up, and play for one another. I'm hoping they do that with their backs against the wall. Go Browns
Saw this picture posted on Facebook by a guy who goes by the name of Paul Brown. I have a severe case of "Flag Envy". Makes me kinda wish I lived in England.
