As i said in a pm to Kid, this team was legit and their D is great. I am not surprised we lost, this isnt the same browns and it was a tough one. Fair play, hopefully this is the start of another great rivalry with football being played with an emphasis on D 2k
Mayb u missed Oak put 45 pts on the board last week and have 3 pts so far this week...the Browns Def is puke...Balt needs to attack down the field more
So it was a great game by the Browns Def but shitty by Balt defense who gave up 12 pts in 70 mins...both offenses blew
Correct. I said it was a shitty game by the Ravens defense, not score wise. And you immediately ring up score. The defense gave up too many chunk plays and couldn't stop the run. Browns win much sooner if their kicker was Tucker
As long as their "Tucker" has a better line. Seriously - what the HELL is it with those fucking blocked kicks this year?
I’m not following....Balt gave up 416 total yds and Browns gave up 410 total yds....the difference in the game was the terrible throw Flacco made on the naked boot...spike the ball at the TEs feet and live for 3rd down...instead it’s a tip ball and a pick..that’s a guaranteed 3 pts or u have 2 downs to get a couple of yds...at the time it was 3-0 Balt
...not on the Browns, your still looking up from the bottom. Great game yesterday Ravens fans, I hope we can give you another one when we travel your way.
I mentioned prior to the game not to underestimate the Browns. Todd Haley spent 6 years against the Ravens and Gregg Williams is still a top DC. Kudos to the Browns. In pre-season I picked the Browns as the surprise team in the NFL, albeit with Taylor at QB. Say what you want about the previous GM, but he laid the groundwork for team. Would they have been better with Trubisky over Garrett or drafting Wentz of Goff the year before? Who knows, but Myles Garrett is already a terror and Denzel Ward is a star in the making. Those picks, along with the previous draft day trades, helped set up the team today. Mayfield is the perfect QB for that team. If Chubb or Calloway develop, there's the 3-headed offense weapons that are needed it today's NFL. It might or might not be this year, but the Browns are going to become a major force in the NFCN. They've beaten the Ravens and should've beaten the Steelers. After watching yesterday's game, as well as the the Browns vs. Oakland the previous week, they will only get better. Don't need to do a Good, Bad, and Ugly report. Eisenberg did it for me: https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/the-breakdown-eisenberg-s-five-thoughts-on-ravens-at-browns
One thing I want to touch on yet again.........I still hate that they gave Brandon Williams that contract. Why pay a guy run stopping NT money when he's not even the freaking NT on the team. That's Pierce. And with Pierce out, who got the start at NT? Chris Wormley. All that money and Williams has played under HALF of the defensive snaps
6 tackles, 5 solo and 1 sack and u guys question this guy but rave about Garrett who had 2 tackles and a questionable 1/2 sack....crazy smh
Not sure if it was discussed as I did not go all the way back to the beginning, but how again are we on the 2 yard line and still do not run the ball behind our mammoth fullback to rip a hole to the endzone? I hate that we throw the ball 60 times a game even when the situation calls for a run. It happened at the end of the Steelers game where were inside the 10, I believe and we need to burn the clock and we go on to throw several incomplete passes which stopped the clock and then this week first and goal from the 2 and we proceed to pass again and get it tipped and picked off. Also, what is with all the blocked kicks and tipped passes this year? I am not football guru but just based on Flacco's height and his arm angle, isn't he releasing the ball at like the 8 foot platform (or close to it) and he is getting passes tipped like no other year I can remember.
While this was a bad choice on Joe's part, QBs will make mistakes from time to time. They have the ball every snap after all. Those 3 pts could've been a difference maker. However, to me, the real back breaker is the S/T line allowing 4 blocked kicks (3 FG attempts and a punt). This game those 3 points (normally a gimme) where as much of a deciding factor than anything. In either case they had the opportunities on multiple occasions and failed to turn it into a W.
