Announcers just said it, but I'll repeat it. Carr has had a good game. GAME OVER BABY!!!! As long as we don't turn it over
Ben is off with his throws. He hurt his elbowon his throwing arm two weeks ago and I wonder if he has some nagging injury.
Ravens should end the first quarter of the season at 3-1. Let's remember, there's no Hayden Hurst. There's no Jimmy Smith. There's no Willie Henry bringing interior pressure. And I'd argue that the only reason we aren't 4-0 is because of the short week against Cincy. Had that been a Sunday game we likely win. I'm all aboard the hype train. Flacco needed weapons to succeed. The defense needed to lose Pees. I'm a little mad we took so long to make those two things happen
Nice win. Thought they were going to blow it in the 2nd qtr. But they once again dominated in the 2nd half.
I agree. The short week in Cincy hurt us. The way the Ravens woke up after the 1st quarter debacle was impressive, and they almost made a game of My big concern right now is the teams we're playing for the next 5 weeks, Cleveland can't be taken lightly. Tennessee is a surprising 3-1, New Orleans is no pushover, At Carolina won't be easy, and then Pittsburgh at home looking for revenge This is a tough stretch coming up and will really tell us what this team is all about. Right now, so far so good.
Honestly, if it wasn't for the Collins fumble, this game would not have even been close. The steelers gained a lot of momentum after the fumble and rode that for most of the 2nd quarter, but for the rest of the 60 minutes of the game, the Ravens were clearly the superior team. Collins would be on a shorter leash for me. I don't want Allen in full time, but maybe go 3 headed and sprinkle Turner in more.
The knock against Collins when he came to the Ravens was his ability to hold on to the ball. He seemed to get that under control last year after being sat down a week or two. Harbaugh is notorious for putting players who fumble into his doghouse. Turner looked serviceable when he played. Collins needs to be looking over his shoulder. Allen is looking like a guy who wants to be the man.
Likes: Two scores in 6 minutes. Joe's level of confidence - he hit 11 different receivers tonight and made it look easy for a change. The run game looked better. Up until the last 5 minutes Collins was averaging 4 yds/carry. The defense kept the run game to just 20 yards, they kept AB in check, and they kept that Steelers offense to under 20. Buck Allen is looking more like Marshawn Lynch every week. Smokey is a serious threat and am ashamed to admit I wasn't on board with his signing at first. He looked good in TC and continues to impress. Snead is as much of a chain mover as any TE. He just loves to run the ball thru contact after the catch. Max Williams is a beast too. He looks healthy and finally living up to his draft pick. Mosley is a beast. He's a damn machine! Covering AB tonight was job one and mission accomplished. I wish they could do this with AJ Green. Sacks - i mentioned sacks in my initial post as cutting both ways. Not sure how many more we see this year with these dumbass roughing the passer rules. It's smarter to menace the QBs as we did with Ben (who clearly has grown contact-shy). Overall it was a great win. It wasn't a blow out or a shoot out, but a win's a win...especially in this division. We're tied with Cincy and 2 games ahead of the the others. It's a good place to be and we need another win against Cincy to seal the division. First we'll need to handle business on the road.
Well, in terms of these predictions 1. Correct 2. N/A 3. Wrong on both parts, and I'm actually happy about that 4. Wrong Of course the one I got right is the important one
