BROWNS/JETS....Game 3 Thread

If you wanna believe a coach took time to prepare for a back up go ahead and do so. IF and I do mean IF they prepared for him they did a piss poor job.

If I were an opposing coach watching game film from Tyrod Taylor, and knew they had the #1 O/A draft pick backing him up, you bet your sweet ass I would make sure that my team was prepared for a change to that back up. Tyrod wasn't exactly setting the NFL on fire in the 1st two weeks.

Not saying they spent a whole lot of time on it, but they had to have done some prep work.

 

It's being reported that Todd Bowles is taking over some defensive play-calling duties, so yeah... I believe they did prepare for him and also did a piss-poor job.

 

I saw a similar thing where Jamal Adams told a reporter pre-game that they did prepare....then post game he backpedaled (see what I did there) and said they didn't prepare.

 

I just wanted to chime in on the Jets drama since I am a life long New Yorker and even though my football heart is in Chicago I have followed the Jets and Giants since I love football and they play where I live.

When the Jets safety said they weren’t prepared for Baker I don’t think he meant they weren’t prepared for how he changes the offense x’s and o’s style.

As a defense they weren’t prepared for the drastic change in QB play that Baker brought to the game. They got lulled to sleep with Taylor and then bam here comes Baker letting it rip all over the field. On a short week with no real tape on the kid what the hell are you preparing for?

Besides that I don’t see how the Jets can put this loss on the defense. The give up 17 points. 3 gifted by a turnover. The offense only gets you 3.

This is typical NY media. Taking nothing and making it into turmoil.
