I mean when you think about it, you're missing basically your 2 best players on defense. That's not going to yield the results you might normally expect.
This isn't some juggernaut offense though. We should have good enough depth at CB for Denver. ILB, maybe not
They miss Moseley. I love Kenny Young and think he's gonna be a great LB, but they really miss Moseley.
Yeah Young is damn good. I hope they don't think they can let Mosley walk though because of Young. I'd rather have the duo.
The Baltimore Ravens are 11 for 11 in the redzone, all TDs. Has that every occured??? Meanwhile, the defense is questionable smh. Can't wait to get Jimmy and CJ back
Time to get rid of Jefferson, he's FRANK WALKER #2, gets at least 2 flags a game thrown on him. On a side note, Suggs nearly turned the game around with his strip sack
They better make offensive line changes at halftime. Hurst needs to gtfo as well as Skura. Skura is worse than Gino G was and that is saying something..... O.Brown needs to be at right tackle, and let Boseman get that Center spot.
To be fair, both Stanley and Lewis have been trash also. Collins has less than 4 total yards all season running to their side but averages 4ypc running up the middle or to the right
Wasted opportunity. I realize the OL has been garbage opening holes for the run game so far this year, especially the left side, but I still don't think Collins is a no. 1 back.
12 of 12 in the red zone, all TDs. 10 of 10 on 3rd and 1. Flacco looking great even without a running game. WRs that actually get separation AND make catches with their hands AND get yards after the catch. Ladies and Gentleman, the Ravens may have an offense!! And Baltimore is 2-1, tied for division lead. Big game next weekend
Overall I was impressed but the team. There are some concerns moving forward, but the NFL is about one game at a time. For instance: perfect on red zone conversions on the season vs. no run blocking for Collins to the left. Yet they go it done against a really talented team. Flacco is looking better than ever and that has everything to do with the targets they secured for him. He again hit 8 different targets and they were cognizant of the 1st down markers which had been lacking since - FOREVER. They didn't abandon the run even though their pass attack was working great and Collins couldn't get a damn thing going to the left. The offense made adjustments early to counter Denver's sick pass rush. They bounced back and overcame that disastrous first possession, kept answering back score for score until they were ahead at the half. They eventually scored 24 unanswered points and wore down that Denver D. The defense made their OL jumpy and penalties piled up in our favor. Big pass plays even in the rain break a defense even as good as Denver's. They eventually put the pressure on Keenum and he started to panic a bit. He had 56 passing yards at the half and 92 by the 4th quarter. His next 100 were in complete garbage time as the Ravens went into prevent defense. All this without Mosley or Jimmy. Even on limited touches Buck Allen is a weapon; like a giant Swiss army knife. John Brown is a major vertical threat and took the wind out of their sails that 44 yd catch. Not long after, Andrews had a 39 yd catch. We don't even yet have Hurst back and He's better than Andrews. Matt Judon's penalties are a problem. He erased a defensive TD all because he had to take a chip shot at Keenum tho' Onwuasor was not going to get taken down by a smallish QB. He's been committing penalties like this all season. The special teams had a rough day and didn't look so special. How do you let a back up safety jump over you to block a short FG? Had it not been for Denver's own penalty machine, they could've changed the course of the game. Tucker was all fired up after that one. Koch too was not happy over his as well. Why is it that Baltimore always fields a good or great defense but always falls prey to trick plays? No matter who is the coach, DC, or on the roster it happens several times a year. Sander 35 yd scamp into the end zone is the latest. It's insane. But all the criticisms are nitpicks since it was a lopsided victory. It's amazing to see a team overcome another team with similar strengths and talent. Presently we're tied for 1st in the division with Cincy who loss to Carolina, but they obviously hold the tiebreaker for now. Now we are on 3 straight road games - Steelers, Browns and Titans before coming home to face the Saints. Great win today. Not pretty, but it was satisfying.
Winning is awesome. Harbaugh should just do more of that and not that other thing. The other thing sucks.
A part of me actually wonders if Harbaugh should send a message to Judon by benching him for a bit. I get that Judon is trying to be an "enforcer" out there, but I feel like he's just purposefully out there trying to play dirty AND isn't making plays to back it up.
