Burton catches 900 yards and makes PB? LOL Rob. You're such a homer. Hope you're right on it all. Go Bears
Damn dude, you think the addition of Mack, Nagy, new Offensive Scheme and another year of Trubisky experience only results into one additional win over last year? I know I'm going pretty homer at 9 wins, but just the same I think 6 is a bit low. Not saying it can't happen, this team could probably go anywhere from 4 wins to 10. Lots of uncertainty.
How the hell do we only go 6-10 if we are 1st in PPG allowed? Only way that happens is if Trubs is worse than Bad Rex. And if Rob's stat predictions turn out to be correct, we should be at 12 or 13 wins at least.
900 yds might be a bit of a stretch but Mitch does love him some TE and the new offense should only increase that love. When you look at the top TE’s in the NFC you got Erts, Rudolph, Graham and Engram. If Burton can put up numbers close to those guys. And I think he can he will get the votes.
I don't think those numbers are absurd when you look at how Ertz and Kelce are used in their offenses and with the RPO....I expect Burton to be used the same way. Not saying he is on par with those guys, because he definitely isn't, but he could become a volume target.
TEs are always harder to figure out until they become really good. Some QBs lean on their TE some don’t. If your oline sucks then the TE becomes a quick hitting option or stays in to block and cuts down on his number of chances to catch balls.
Stopping teams from scoring doesn't mean we will. I don't think I've been shy about my views on what I saw with our offense this offseason. Trubisky looked very cutler-esque statistically last year. I didn't see anything this offseason to make me think he's improved.
If Trubisky Plays like Cutler and we have the #1 ranked PPG defense, theres no way we only win 6 games I'm nervous about Trubisky as well, but if you truly believe the defense is gonna be that good, Trubs is gonna have to be way worse than Cutler.
Nailed the Mack sack count. But underestimated our overall and divisional record. And Trub's performance. And the defense.
Bears record: 11-5 - UNDER - WRONG Khalil Mack sacks: 12.5 - UNDER - WRONG (nice one though dude to hit this exact) Allen Robinson TDs: 6 - OVER - WRONG Anthony Miller catches: 53 - UNDER - RIGHT Leonard Floyd games played: 9 - OVER - RIGHT Trubisky QB rating: 87.5 - OVER - RIGHT Defensive points allowed ranking: 8th - BETTER (UNDER?) - RIGHT Division record: 4-2 - UNDER - WRONG, SO WRONG Trubisky Yards - 3500 - WRONG Howard Yards - 1200 - WRONG Kevin White Games Played - 3 - WRONG (7 officially with the healthy scratches) Offensive Rank - 16th - WRONG (21 by total offense? I really hope that is false modesty ha. Seriously blang, 11-5, how the F do you do it. You are NEVER more than 1game out when predicting the teams record every year. In fact most times you're spot on, but to even get within a game this year when most of us didn't really get close, that is some truth serum shit right there. I mean even our resident flag-waver Rob didn't stick his neck out that far! Incredible.
