I would love to know exactly how that Jones vs Dobbs cut came along.
Were they not getting any trade offers for Jones and just said fook it let’s just cut him?
Or were they not getting a trade offer they liked for Dobbs.

Either way I think they made the right decision.

Adams and Hodges should be 2 players they try to get on the practice squad

Any notable ILBs around the league that were cut that may be worth picking up?

The Steelers have announced their roster cuts.

Landry Jones, Nat Berhe, Fitz Toussaint, and Brian Allen are among the most notable cuts. Here is the full list.

QB Landry Jones - A good long term move.
    RB Fitz Toussaint
    RB James Summers
    RB Jarvion Franklin
    WR Quadree Henderson
    WR Trey Griffey
    WR Tevin Jones
    TE Bucky Hodges
    TE Pharoah McKever
TE Christian Scotland-Willliamson - Each AFC North team gets 1 extra practice squad player. Christian is the Steelers.
    OL Larson Graham
    OL Patrick Morris
    OL Oni Omoile
    OL R.J. Prince
    OL Jake Rodgers
    OL Chris Schleuger
CB Brian Allen - Sensabaugh was kept instead
    CB Dashaun Phillips
    CB Malik Reaves
    CB Jamar Summers
OLB Keion Adams - They kept Fort over this guy. This surprises me.
    ILB Matt Galambos
    OLB Farrington Huguenin
    DL Parker Cothren
    DL Josh Frazier
    DL Greg Gilmore
    DL Lavon Hooks
    DL Casey Sayles

The following players have been waived/injured

Steelers cut former Giants safety Nat Berhe, but I'm told it's expected that he re-signs with Pittsburgh tomorrow. Since Berhe is vested veteran, Pittsburgh front office doing some maneuvering to get another player on initial 53 prior to putting him on IR with return designation

Now it makes sense to me that the Steelers kept Jordan Dangerfield.

Great decision with Dobbs over Jones. Extremely unexpected for me but absolutely ecstatic about it.

Adams and Allen were surprise cuts for me, hope both make it to the PS. But Sensabaugh had a great camp and made it too hard to cut him.

Hoping Tevin Jones, Hodges, Franklin and Griffey are considered for the PS. With all the TEs being cut James, Grimble and McDonald must all be ready for week one.

I'm fine with all the moves except I hope Allen doesn't make them regret keeping Sensabaugh. I think Sensabaugh will mostly not be good come regular season if/when he is on field. Allen still at least has good potential. Allen was good on special teams last year too. Surprised .... but maybe he clears and is on practice squad

This is, IMO a great PS group. Many hands in there to help with injury and many hands in there with Steeler experience.

Everyone I wanted to keep on the PS made it along with Adams and Allen. Very happy with the roster this year, if Bostic gets better as he gets more comfortable and Thomas picks up the defense they could have a Super year

We definitely need Thomas, Williams and Makatavitch just don’t have enough speed for today’s NFL.

Happy to see CSW made the PS. I hope he pans out and becomes a football star.

king, It would not surprise me to see James out there... the other two not so much.. how could we know, they've lead nonexistent camp lives. It also would not surprise me to see Bucky Hodges in the line up for game one. we'll need two tight ends and he appraised himself awfully well against Panthers... loved that late downfield blocking as much as the getting open for the big reception ... I actually have a feel good for this guy's chances.

The only thing that rounds it out for me is the trifecta of Adams Allen and Hodges.
