Okay, Tim sent out a mass notification to all of the members of our site and I have just finished posting an invitation to everyone on every NFL team here.

Let's see if that helps people find their way here :)

Are you ready for some football?

Welcome to the 10th Annual Pick' Ems Contest!!

This is a pretty big deal ... 10 years in!! LnC and I started this contest over on CBC 10 seasons ago and it's been a lot of fun every year! The numbers of our participants have gone up and down but the one constant is everyone has fun. We encourage 'friendly' trash talk and we definitely see a lot of challenges issued!

The 1st day of the regular season is on September 6th according to my research ...

I'm looking forward to meeting new members and to see returning members coming back. Everyone is welcome to join!

    So ...

    Let's Play Some Football!!!

Let's get an idea of who we all want to see win and why!

I'm a Bears fan and I think that we might be looking at a break-out season ...

    I'll do an over/under breakdown -

    Arizona Cardinals 5.5
I'm taking the over on the Cards this season. I like the ground game and defense to protect the quarterback and win them some ugly games. They're in a tough division, but I think they could go .500 this season.

    Atlanta Falcons 9
My money is on a push for this line. The Falcons should compete for the NFC South but 10 wins may take that division if Carolina is in the mix down the stretch.

    Baltimore Ravens 8
I have the under on this line but without a lot of confidence. I have them pegged for 7 wins, but the Ravens are difficult to predict going into this season.

    Buffalo Bills 6

I think this is a solid line for the Bills if Josh Allen starts week one so I'm taking the push here. If Peterman gets the nod at starter, I'll be switching to the under.

    Carolina Panthers 9
Just like with the Falcons, I think this is a solid line and I would take the push here again. The NFC South should be top heavy with the Saints, Falcons and Panthers, while the Bucs probably end up a distant 4th.

    Chicago Bears 6.5
I think every over/under should have the half game added just to force a decision. The Bears at 6 games would have likely been a push for me, so I will take the under here.

    Cincinnati Bengals 6.5
Just like with the Bears, I think 6 would have been a good number so I'm going to take the under with the Bengals. I still think they should open up the market on Teddy Bridgewater and offer a second in 2018 and a third in 2019, but they will probably do a lesser move like bringing in RGIII for a 6th.

    Cleveland Browns 5.5
I set the over under for the Browns previously at 4.5, so I will take the under here for consistency. However, that win total could move up for me depending on what I see in the next preseason game.

    Dallas Cowboys 8.5
I'm taking the under here, but I think it is only by that half of a game. I like Dallas to finish .500 but I don't think their record is going to accurately reflect how bright the future is in Dallas. I expect big things from the Cowboys in Dak's third season.

    Denver Broncos 7
I'm going to make what I feel is my first bold gamble and take the over for the Broncos. This team just has the feel of a slight overachiever in a division that is going to provide ample opportunity for upset games across the board.

    Detroit Lions 7.5
I'm going to take the over here again as I think the Lions are going to hit the .500 mark and flirt with 9 wins, which will be just a couple short of making the playoffs in a division where the Packers and the Vikings are probably going to set the high water mark at around 11 games.

    Green Bay Packers 10
I like the push on this number as Green Bay is going to be a juggernaut on offense but will still have some questions to be answered on defense early in the season. I wouldn't be surprised if they put up a lot of points but still managed to be 4-4 at the midway mark.

    Houston Texans 8.5
I'm taking the under on this one by a game and a half. I could easily see the Texans being 7-7 going into the final two weeks of the season before closing out 2018 with a pair of losses.

    Indianapolis Colts 6.5
I'm taking the under here because I am not sold on Indianapolis being ready to take another step forward. With questions around the defense and ground game, a recovering Andrew luck is going to have to carry this team and I think it's just too tall of an order.

    Jacksonville Jaguars 9
I'm taking the over here by two games. I think Jacksonville's defense and run game is strong enough to steal victory in tight games and limit Blake Bortles exposure on offense. Plus, if the ground game is clicking the deep threat receivers may find some big paydays this season in play-action.

    Kansas City Chiefs 8.5
I'm taking the over for the Chiefs partially because of the division they are in, but mostly because I believe Patrick Mahomes is going to assimilate to the starting role very quickly. The Chiefs are a sneaky team to blow out opponents more often than not.

    Los Angeles Chargers 9.5
I'm taking the under here, but only by that half of a game. The Chargers are a very good football team that is going to compete for the AFC West, but ultimately the few holes that they have should limit them to a wildcard spot.

    Los Angeles Rams 10
I'm taking the over here because I believe the Rams are poised for a deep playoff run and a potential NFC Championship. Sean McVay will have his offense humming from day one and with the talent they have on defense it's hard to imagine the Rams coming away with less than 11 wins.

    Miami Dolphins 6.5
I have the under here and I think this is the season that ends Adam Gase's tenure as head coach and Ryan Tannehill's run as the starting quarterback. The Dolphins need a major makeover and the ugly will be on display in Miami this season.

    Minnesota Vikings 10
I'm taking the over here and I think the Vikings are going to close out some really close divisional games to get them to 11 wins and a division win. I can easily see the Vikings playing the Rams for the NFC Championship.

    New England Patriots 11
I'm taking the push here and 11 wins is a really nice number to bet on. The Patriots still play in what may be the worst division in all of football and can probably put it in cruise control and still end up with 10 wins.

    New Orleans Saints 9.5
I'm going with the over here bu 1 and a half games. I think the Saints have set themselves up nicely to with the NFC South and make a deep playoff run in 2018.

    New York Giants 7
I was leaning towards the under, but decided on the push. The Giants are going to be a difficult prediction for 2018.

    New York Jets 6
I'm taking the push here but I could see the Jets coming up short of 7 wins. This season won't define their future though and if New York sticks to the script they could force themselves into the discussion for the division title in the East by 2020.

    Oakland Raiders 8
This is a difficult team to get a feel for since we don't know how Gruden will be on Sundays in his return season coaching. I'm going to take the under here but if I could have left one team off of the list to bet on, it would have probably been Oakland.

    Philadelphia Eagles 10.5
The 10.5 is a really good number to split the betting public on, but I'm going to take the half game under on Philly. It will be difficult for them to gin up some of the mojo they had last season to start this year and I expect them to lose a couple of the close games that they might have one last year.

    Pittsburgh Steelers 10.5
I'm taking the under here and I think Pittsburgh may win the division with only 9 wins. The question marks they have on defense coupled with a new offensive coordinator may make for some interesting Sundays. Throw in Mike Tomlin's history as a head coach and this team could be a little bit of Jeckyl or Hyde, depending on the calendar date.

    San Francisco 49ers 8.5
I'm firmly taking the over here and I expect San Francisco to push for a wildcard spot in the NFC. Jimmy Garoppolo showed enough at the end of last season for me to believe that the 49ers have their franchise quarterback and with the pieces they have on defense, I believe the core group in the Bay is good enough to steal some wins this season.

    Seattle Seahawks 8
I'm taking the over here by two games and it's definitely one of the bolder bets I'm making. I like the Seahawks to play better ball on offense than what some expect and it should be enough to keep them in the playoff hunt all season long.

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6.5
I have the under here and I think we could see the end of coach Dirk Koetter's regime in Tampa. The Buccaneers have enough talent to be competitive in the South, but so long as Koetter remains and Winston is the starter there will be games that should be won that turn into mind boggling losses.

    Tennessee Titans 8
I was initially thinking push, but I'm going to take the over by one game here. The Titans are an interesting team in 2018 and I wouldn't be surprised if they snuck up on a couple opponents and stole some wins.

    Washington Redskins 7
Before the season ending injury to rookie running back Derrius Guice, I was very confident on the over. Now, I'm less confident, but I'm still taking the over and expect Washington to be in more games than not, with a couple of ugly wins being the difference in a .500 or less record.

As a Vikings lifer... this season is the make or break time for the roster they have. Anything less than a SB appearance is in my opinion a fail. Even if they make the 'Big Show', they had better win the damn thing too or its just another losing episode of my Vikings fandom life. That 0-for-4 thing must change to 1-for-5.

They have their QB, RB's look good... just recently the o-line is getting healthier and the Defense is superb. They seem to have all the ingredients to make a solid run.

They must have home field advantage throughout also. The Vikings are notorious for blowing road games and especially outdoors games on grass.

I think 11-5, 12-4 is possible, but I really want it all this time, lol.

I agree. 9.5 is way too low. I expected it to be around 10.5 or more.

im with Will. i think Minny wins more than 10 games. they are loaded this season and ready to be top dog in the NFC with Wentz and Foles hurting as Eagles QBs. i think 12 or 13 wins is easily doable !

Depending on whether it’s cooked right or not. Good like catfish, bad like Philadelphia catfish.

Depends on how it's cooked. I've eaten it once. Just so I could say that I did it. It was dipped in beer batter and deep fried. It was OK. Not a lot of flavor to it. I'm sure that there are a thousand different ways to cook it. Kinda like rattlesnake.
