Hopefully Edmunds becomes good enough we need a song for him. I have the perfect one. Dave Edmunds, I hear you knocking, but you can’t come in. Meaning he won’t let the opponent score.
I really like the defensive side of this especially. I look forward to seeing those players you have picked and hopefully with as little injury as possible see how they are playing together in 6 weeks. I just think it is a fairly remarkable group of athletes that need these games to begin the gel.
Fine list and I thank you for posting. I've missed this place and you guys are still the best resource for Steelers news and opinions. One thing: Why do I have this feeling that Landry Jones is staying? IMO, he's hit his celing. He's had plenty of time to develop, but I fear the staff will keep him because he's been there longer than Dobbs and Rudolph. Dare the Steelers carry 4 QBs? I doubt it. Ben and Rudolph are locks. Are Dobbs and Jones vying for the last seat? BTW I agree with gidion's QB depth chart
Landry Jones doesn’t offer anything more than Rudolph as a rookie and Dobbs hasn’t scratched the surface of his potential.
https://www.steelers.com/team/depth-chart/ QB 1 Ben Roethlisberger 2 Landry Jones 3 Joshua Dobbs 4 Mason Rudolph Check that out. Does anybody remember the last time the Steelers carried four? I cannot
https://247sports.com/nfl/pittsburg...uarterbacks-onto-the-53-man-roster-118034109/ On Friday, Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan reported that Pittsburgh GM Kevin Colbert told him that the Steelers won't carry four quarterbacks onto the 53-man roster coming out of training camp. The team currently has Dobbs, Jones, Ben Roethlisberger and third round pick, Mason Rudolph. While not surprising, Colbert's announcement does confirm that Jones and Dobbs will be battling to keep their roster spot in what promises to be one of the most competitive position battles in camp. I knew it. I'll take Dobbs, but I know how these coaches can be.
Ben has to stay healthy because it’s not going to matter who they kept as their #2 (Dobbs or Jones) if either of them had to start from the beginning of the season they would be lucky to win 7 games with either of them.
