Steelers Draft and Mel Kiper sucks thread!!

Why do people think we need a TE this year? I can’t wrap my head around this? McD and JJ can handle it. Our TEs are fine, we just need competent refs/HQ to make the right calls.

 

If you draft him, i will be convinced that PIT just have a deal in place with some high being that just grants them great wr's.

i will not be a happy chap if i hear his name called to PIT.

Exactly...McD is Pro Bowl worthy

 

Not if he spends half the season in the training room again...he’s been injury prone most of his career. He’s Pro Bowl caliber when he’s on the field, just needs to be on the field a little more frequently this season

• Missed open field tackles have dogged him
• Bites and gets forced into recovery mode
• Slow to read quarterback and get the jump to range over top
• Too aggressive in response to route fakes

Needs to refine technique as a tackler, break down sooner so he doesn’t miss when ball carrier changes directions
Doesn’t read WR stem well and vulnerable to double-moves, advanced route running

Hopefully the Steelers know something we don't as just about everyone had him going late late second round or third round. If he works out the Steelers will look like geniuses if not well then they will be crucified for reaching.

I hope people now realize we aren't drafting BPA. I like the picks, but by no means are they BPA.
