He has probably been saving Istanbul from drug running while saving religions from science.

I'm playing Madden with my bro and we did a fantasy draft. I took the Browns and he took the Giants. We simmed a lot of the first season but I'm hosting the Steelers in the divisional round right now lol. I set my season goal to get this far but now I gotta win this one.

Went to a Szechuan restaurant for dinner with my wife. Anthony Bourdain would have felt at home in this place. The menu included items like jellyfish and pork intestine with blood pot cake.

We stuck to the salt and pepper calamari and cumen beef.

I really don't like squid, but if battered and deep fried I can palate it with horseradish and a red sauce. I like cumin, but it is not a spice I would travel the world for.

Seattle has until 8am. We'll give Chicago until then as well.

It was - I'm not sure if it was battered with panko flakes or what, but it was lightly breaded, seasoned with red and black pepper and garlic, and served on a plate with jalapenos, cilantro, red and green bell peppers, and other assorted vegetables. It really didn't need a sauce at all.

I'm not big on cumen either. My wife wanted to try it. I had a taste, and the brown sauce with it was pretty good, but otherwise I left that one for her.

She's interested in going back and trying some of the other "normal" dishes. But I'm thinking that when a place has stuff like stir fried pig kidney, pickled pepper with ox tripe, fried beef with ash and hot pepper powder, broiled chicken gizzard, stir fried mutton or dry pot pig intestine on the menu, well, sooner or later you're going to get some really dicey ingredients in your otherwise "normal" soup or stir fry.

Loosely battered and pan-fried calamari is the best. The batter becomes a kinda sauce that clumps onto the squid like a sludge. It's definitely on the greasy side and it's somewhere in between crispy and chewy with a lot of texture differences per bite.

    2018 MINNESOTA VIKINGS G.M.O. DRAFT

1 - OG: Isaiah Wynn, Georgia
2 - CB: Holton Hill, Texas
5 - DL: Steven Richardson, Minnesota
6 - WR, Braxton Berrios, Miami
6 - OT: Joseph Noteboom, TCU

I'm not displeased at all. I nailed quality draft picks at every Vikings need on the team as prioritized by the experts. Not having a 3rd or 4th was my mistake, but having a deep pool allowed me to still address the needs with talented/skilled players in later rounds.

Overall, its one of my better drafts since we started these exercises.

My arm is tired from patting myself on the back... critique if you will. I would love to hear some feedback.

    Go Vikings! :vik:

I don't really like Wynn. He has a good LT pass blocking set, but doesn't have the body to play there in the pros, and getting good depth on his drops isn't going to be of any use at guard. I don't think he's particularly strong and I don't like his technique in run blocking - he seems to regularly overrun the guy he's blocking an lose leverage. He could be a good player, but if I'm taking a guard in the first I want him to be a very good player the moment he gets drafted, not a guy who might be a bit of a project.

Holton Hill looks like a talented player but there's lots of character questions there, and do the Vikings really need another CB?

There, that's my mean criticism. TBH, its a pretty good draft. Noteboom and Richardson should go earlier than they went here in the real draft.

What did you do with the 3rd and 4th round picks?

I really didn't see Wynn play... all I have to go on are stats and credentials and he was ranked really high at his position. Wynn also can play the OT position as well. If he's coachable and a team guy, he should do ok transitioning in. Just hoping for the best.

My 3rd and 4th round picks were traded earlier... I admit I made few blunders, but this will work out well I think. The Vikings, in my opinion, handle their trades and picks with reckless abandon most of the time... they got me in trouble last year to by trading their 1st away.

Rhodes and Waynes at CB are decent, but there is no depth... hence the pick at CB.

Its all a learning experience to me and the discernment involved in sorting through the draft boards is a bit challenging for me. I get set on 1 or 2 guys and they get sniped... I'm working on added depth in which case I make mistakes. Good thing I'm not running the real show!!!
