at the Bafta Awards on Sunday, many presenters and winners wore a TIMESUP# pin. Funny how in this country 17 people and mainly kids, were just killed by a former classmate and no one wears a pin for them. not saying METOO# or TIMESUP# isn't important, but 17 people who lost their lives is a lot.
It's all about SYMBOLISM these days. They are all hypocrites. Every # is just a badge to show they care more than anyone else. Meanwhile they never do anything in their lives to improve the people around them.
I think that in today's society there are a shitload of people who I would simply call "JOINERS". These are people who kind of mull around wandering aimlessly just waiting for a "CAUSE" to set them off with a purpose. Now it is the Let 16 year olds VOTE cause starting as a response to the school shooting in Florida. Before it was the MeToo movement after Weinstein and the like got exposed as deviates and abusers. To me, it is all BULLSHIT because very little gets sustained and most of it gets derailed by politicians on both sides. These JOINERS just want something to bitch about for awhile and get some self gratification for being somehow cool and above the crowd. Then they tire of this temporary cause and go right back to their funk and sleepwalk their way through life once again. Banning the AR-15 is now the popular sign of choice along with the everpresent ITS TRUMP'S FAULT for everything bad in life art-work. Real change in anything is hard and most of these assholes do not want to do anything that is HARD. Hell, they even do not want to waste time THINKING about defining what the basic problem is let alone figuring out any potential solutions for the problem. No, these idiots just want SIMPLE all encompassing answers to make things better. Changing things regarding sexual abuse, harassment, rape, etc. is an enormous job when you think about it. Just think about what the DEFINITIONS are of all those things. The same holds true about the school shootings and other terrorist instances in this country(And I do think that the Cruz instance is terrorism). So now we have a bunch of young kids holding up signs and demanding the right to vote? Give me a fucking break. Yeah, stopping gun violence is an easy thing, right? To a whole lot of "JOINERS" it is. Fools all.
As any one else noticed that today it's all about the pin or the "#" ?? Years ago, it was all about different colored ribbons. What happened with that ?? Did they run out of colors ?????
Al - like I said 2 weeks ago - the # is a flavor of the week. there is always something bigger to protest or support. MeToo# or TimesUp# will fall by the waist side of something else. Those poor 17 dead bodies will be in the ground and another school shooting will happened etc. for every Weinstein, Louis CK and Kevin Spacey, there are 5 more just like them in Hollywood. Hell, if you believe half of what Corey Feldman says, it's a ring of pedophiles and child rapists out there.
What I don't understand about these metoo# "victims", is why the hell do they keep going back and putting themselves in the same situation with the same person ?? I'm NOT defending the guys that have done this stuff. But, ladies ??? Get the hell out of there !!!! Say something to some one,, immediately !! SoCal - I said the same thing and 10 posters got on me and said victims don't come out bc of fear, shame, embarrassment etc. I gave up on that fight weeks ago. no time is right and they come out when they want. I was never a victim, so I have no right to tell a real victim when it's time to come forward.
