Did someone say a car was the same as a vagina? I know things are confusing nowadays, but that is quite the statement.
Well...you kinda did. I’m don’t think I’m confused. Did I misread the point of your first post here today?
Well...you kinda did. I’m don’t think I’m confused. Did I misread the point of your first post here today? The correlation you were making was decisions people make when they’re drunk right? And if the person that takes the car is guilty....or not guilty...then the guy that sleeps with the drunk woman who laters cries rape can’t be guilty either. Is that it...in a nutshell? If I’m wrong tell me I’m wrong and then we can get to what you’re actually trying to say.
If you lose control of your inhibitions when you’re drunk and can’t control your actions....yes, you’re wrong. If you give your car away when you’re drunk and don’t remember it in the morning....or sleep with random strangers and wake up regretful of it or with no memory....it’s probably time to rethink things.
My point is. People get drunk do stupid things and conveniently forget or actually do forget, but hold others responsible for what happens. There is no questioning the "victims".
Well you can question the victims and should. This is why, as has been stated my multiple people on this thread, each incident of sexual harassment, abuse, or assault should be treated differently and investigated thoroughly instead of clumping all these things together and treating them the same. The details do matter. Victims can often be a part of the problem...and sometimes aren’t victims at all. Generalizations and stereo typing will go nowhere fast in this field.
While I agree with you. Sober is a subjective word. Also not making a good decision and making a criminal decision should be two different things, but in society today they are not.
Sober isn’t subjective. Buzzed is...drunk is...because everyone has different tolerance. If you’re sober you haven’t been drinking. It means not affected by alcohol. And yes they are two different things....if you have common sense.
I was accused once. I was very young and a girl accused me of drugging and raping her. When the reality of the situation was I was having a party and was trying to kick these 2 girls out of my bedroom, where they should not have been. They pulled me onto the bed and controlled the whole situation. Many hours later I awoke to the police at my door. I had no idea what was going on. They brought me in for questioning. The chief explained a girl accused me of rape... I was completely shocked. I sat there stunned. He then asked me "what is that?". I said, "what??. He pointed at my neck. He told me to look in the mirror. My neck was covered in sucker bites. I said, " I didn't do this to myself." Well I was released, but couldn't leave town without notifying police. The story was spread throughout my school that I raped a girl. Finally after about a month the girl and her friend told the truth and I was cleared. I don't wish that upon anyone and I was lucky. This type of thing happens much more than anyone wants to admit.
hotel room ?? wtf -this "story" changes by the minute. either tell the real story or stick to what you told us. you said "HIS NEIGHBOR." What neighbor lives in a hotel room ?
I would love to see any "sober" man who was ever with a drunk. I think if there is alcohol a man is also drinking, so it is subjective as to how much the alcohol has affected him.
wow... keep up... There are more than one point of view in this situation. If you gave the keys in a drunken euphoria and wake up without having any memory of it, do you know you gave the keys?
My son went through a sort of similar situation where he was actually arrested and had to go to court. The woman finally admitted to lying but a lot of damage was done. It’s not an easy situation at all.
I'm not sure if I understand this. If a man of questionable integrity walks into a party and sees a drunk woman who he then has intercourse with ... the man is still sober right? If he hasn't had anything to drink but seizes what looks like a ripe opportunity to him?
There are guys that purposely go to parties and stay sober and look for drunk girls. It’s been a long time since I was in college...but I remember that being a pretty popular thing to do.
I agree BF. That is a predator. There should be a history of him doing things like that. Not really what my point was, but I'm sure that happens.
