Kizer 16-30, 314 yards passing and 2 TDs with 1 INT. Best game of the season for him. Kizer had a terrible season. So yes that is exposed in my book.

Bortles was 11-19 for 96 yards through 3 quarters. In the 4th quarter he was 5-7 for 120 yards and a TD. Five carries for 35 yards. He averaged 8.2 yards per pass and had a QBR of 94 yesterday.
Bortles had the worst 3rd down conversion rate in the NFL this season. Jags were 8-14 on 3rd down against the Steelers yesterday. He had at least 3 third down conversions that I remember in the 4th quarter.
Bortles found the holes in the defense and exposed them. Especially in the 4th quarter.

Ah, Nomenclature... "Pittsburgh Cover ZERO" is when you line up without covering an opponent's offensive player and that guy burns you and makes the entire fan base go... "What the fuck was that?!?!" That's "Pittsburgh Cover ZERO". "Cover Zero" is exactly how you described it. Notice the distinctive spelling and purposeful capitalization.

  3. One of his completions was a scramble dump off for 40 yds...Im not saying Pitt D played well but what would you call Jax D after what Big Ben did to them? I just dont think exposed is the correct word...maybe opportune is better suited for Bortles

  4. Gotcha now lol

The Good: Rogers, Ben (at times ), Bell (at times)
Sold out stadium on a cold cold day.

    The Bad: Defensive game plan
Little ILB Spence ( sucked) should have stuck with the back up that was there through the season.

The Ugly: lots of missed calls by the refs
    Tomlins decisions
Another very disappointing performance in the post season.
The calls for Haleys dismissal and not Tomlin, Butler, Lake and Porter.
Not giving Harrison playing time causing him to leave when you need veteran leadership in the post season.
Keep the players, fire the rest!
    Bring in Nick Sabin

I would like to see how many SBs Belichik could win with our roster.

The Good: None, we freaking lost a game we scored 42 freaking points in.

    The Bad: see above.

The Ugly: having to watch the Jaguars go get destroyed by the Patriots.

In truth we need some new coordinators on offense and defense. The only all-pros I saw on the field were Bell & Brown. Heyward didn't look all-pro at all.

Like good programming does, this final episode of the Season 2017 soap opera left me feeling emotionally vulnerable and ready for the 2018 season to start.

Until then I have made arrangements with a guide out west who intends to let me hunt jaguars with a bazooka. :point:

The mood will not be lightened on our beloved board yet. I have learned to turn the page faster than most, I think. Actually I just vent more during games and the hours after them then have expelled all the frustration and angst, purge it, and move on. I feel really good about watching the championship games now. The one game that did get sacrificed on the altar of my discontent was the Minnesota game, which I regret missing after hearing how it ended.

That was a reference to the Beatle's I am the Walrus. Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.

If you told me we would score 42 points in the game before hand, I would have said that is very bad luck for the Jaguars to blown out the that.

Tomlin should have kicked off normal after we scored our 5th TD. Boz is a pro bowl kicker but he has never kicked a onside kick that was legally recoverable. The Jaguars would have run the ball 3 times trying to get a first down, we stop them and drive down and get the tying TD, then take our chances in OT.

Remember when the Steelers used to take the run away and bring pressure from the edge?

Now they can't stop the run and try to bring pressure from the middle. Pretty hard to keep gap integrity on the interior when you try to rush the passer with your interior lineman.

Our OLBs are poor against the run. I know they play more pass coverage than they used to but on obvious run plays they get washed out more times than not.

If I remember right Artie Burns was drafted because he was supposed to excel in man press coverage. They play more of a soft zone than anything else. He blows his assignment regularly.

Mike Mitchell is a very expensive ineffective Safety.

I'm sure the coaches know exactly what they are trying to achieve with the players they have but it's not working and the former DC head coach is just as responsible as the current DC.

Steelers started 2017 with the intent of having Shazier and Timmons at ILB. When that fell through they tried to pair Hightower with Shazier. They should have kept trying when he went back to New England.

The 3-4 defense needs special players at linebacker to be successful. There is absolutely nothing special about Vince Williams and Sean Spence (post-injury). It cost them dearly.

#1 off-season need is two new inside backers cause it doesn't look like Shazier is ever playing again and Vince is a backup.

The middle of the defense needs to improve drastically. Besides the inside LBs, Mitchell needs to be replaced and they could add some more beef and talent to the DT/NT positions.
