I think Mayfield is a dick now, wait until you give this clown millions of dollars. Not Manziel he’s better and more talented but he will never be Brees or Russell Wilson . Round 2-3 grade but some GM will overdraft him.

I like ILB #3 at Georgia but it doesn't look like he'll be there at pick #32 for our Steelers. Please advise.

If you're correct that essentially means there are no franchise QBs in this draft through my eyes. If someone like the Browns were to draft him then I'd really hope you're right. Speaking of Oklahoma draft picks, Mayfield has a better chance than Joe Mixon to succeed in the NFL, relative to others at their respective positions, just because I can't imagine a much shittier situation than Cincinatti. 0-7-in-the-playoffs head coach is a mummified corpse standing on the sideline giving Venom to his players, with a cheap owner who refuses to pay players or find a better head coach who would demand a higher salary.

They seem to view him as a franchise QB whereas everyone else views him as an average QB.

Darius Leonard is a small-school prospect with an NFL skillset. As more teams catch on, I assume he'll rise into the second day. He dominates his level of competition, having recorded 113 tackles with 8 for a loss, 8 sacks, 1 pass defensed, 2 INTs, and 1 fumble forced in 2017. His weaknesses couldn't be exposed by the teams he regularly played against. He projects to the NFL as a sideline-to-sideline coverage and penetration linebacker - perfect for what the Steelers need. Unless Roquan Smith takes a major tumble, there may not be any ILBs that are a fit for us at the end of 1.

Baker Mayfield may be a dick but he's not close to being on the same level as Manziel. I view Mayfield as a dick in the class of say... Phillip Rivers. Sideline antics and attitude. The one time drunken incident seems to have been a wake up call.

I agree with Demo. Baker Mayfield is a franchise QB. I've watched him a lot the past couple of seasons. I like the Russell Wilson comparison. Russel Wilson with the attitude and competitive fire of Phillip Rivers.

Sony Michel impressed me more than any RB during the "college playoffs". Not sure why Georgia quit giving him the ball during the 4th quarter.

If Michel is there in the 3rd round I'd love to see in Pittsburgh. I'm not sold on James Connor. I know he had limited carries. I don't see Connor as a guy who's anything more than a hit the hole and take off. Doesn't look to have good lateral movement or great hands. I think Michel is going to be a steal if he makes it to the 3rd round.

With the injury to Shazier and the importance of that position in this defense I expect the Steelers to get and ILB in the first 2 rounds. I'm hoping they get a solid S and ILB with those first two picks.

Running backs. This is still a deep class. My guess is Damien Harris went back to school because he didn't like how crowded it was:

Saquon Barkley - Popular opinion among scouts is that Barkley is at least on the same level as Ezekiel Elliot and Leonard Fournette. He demonstrates no weaknesses in his game. Has superstar potential as possibly the best player in this entire draft. Barring major catastrophe, he's not falling past the Browns at #4 and could plausibly go to the Colts, Giants, or anyone who may trade up into the top 4.

Derrius Guice - A more powerful and slightly less elusive version of Dalvin Cook. A bonafide first-round talent and probable top-15 pick.

Bryce Love - The fastest runner at the top of the draft, Love is this year's version of Christian McCaffrey. I was never that high on McCaffery as a three-down NFL RB and I feel similarly about Love. McCaffery has been used part-time as a receiver in Carolina, and I expect whatever team that drafts Love will use him in a similar way. The difference is that Love isn't as comfortable catching passes as McCaffery, so that will stop him from being drafted close to 8th overall as McCaffery was. Still a top-20 talent, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him fall to the late 1st or early 2nd.

Josh Adams - If we're looking for backs who simply look like Le'Veon Bell then look no further! Has very similar height-weight dimensions to the All-Pro runner. He's a good runner who had the benefit of running behind one of college football's best offensive lines. Naturally good at pass-blocking, Adams can thrive in the right situation.

Ronald Jones II - Better than Bryce Love IMO. Runs with way more power and tackle-breaking ability than his size should indicate. On top of that, he's on Love's level in terms of speed and elusiveness. Don't be surprised to see him rise into the 1st round.

Royce Freeman - Classic downhill runner. It's difficult to project his success because he could just be a short-yardage back at the next level. He's too one-dimensional for the Steelers, but he's another who could thrive in the right situation, probably in a committee approach. Would be a steal at any point on day 3.

Nick Chubb - Has first-round talent as a carrier of the football. The reason why I'm not that high on him (and why he's probably not a first-round pick) is because he looks completely uninterested in pass-blocking and uncomfortable catching passes.

Ito Smith - Looks dominant at times in the Conference USA - exceptionally quick and fast. Looks great running with and catching the football; Southern Miss's all-time leader in yards from scrimmage. A final verdict will be reached when he works out for teams. Even then, he may need to make his mark on special teams first. At a listed 5'9", 195 pounds, he's no NFL team's feature back. Has a very low floor, but with hard work, might have a career that resembles Darren Sproles. Hasn't returned kicks since 2015, but averaged more than 21 yards doing so.

Mark Walton - Pro: Even more elusive than Dalvin Cook, as his 36 forced missed tackles led all ACC running backs in 2016. Con: Suffered a season-ending ankle injury during the fourth game of the season in 2017. In addition, he's about the same size as Ito Smith. Will have a lot of questions to answer regarding the health of his ankle. Has suffered a lot of personal tragedy recently and won't be playing for just himself (declared early due to financial need). Not a feature NFL back, so he should be used similarly to how the Falcons use Devonta Freeman (probably Walton's ceiling) and with creative playcalls and line-ups. Day 3 pick with potential to go undrafted if he fails medical. Day 2 pick if he's given a clean bill of health and blows workouts and interviews away.

Sony Michel - Possibly the most underrated back in this entire class. I greatly prefer Michel to his UGA teammate Chubb because Michel looks like a three-down back who will at least throw his head in the pile in pass-blocking and catch passes out of the backfield. The drop-off from Chubb to Michel in conventional runs isn't great enough to prefer Chubb in that respect either (though Chubb looks amazing at times carrying the football). Michel won't fall to Day 3 and may even sneak into the first round (ahead of Chubb).

Myles Gaskin - A surprisingly stout pass-blocker, he can be an invaluable third-down back in the NFL. He just isn't great at anything else and that's what will limit him to Day 2 - Day 3.

Bo Scarbrough - Day 2, possible Day 3 pick who needs to put it all together. Hasn't been given much of a chance at Alabama thanks to a crowded backfield, but Damien Harris is the clear-cut workhorse there. Has upside - he's just raw. Draws comparisons to Alabama alum Derrick Henry, so a team who takes a chance on him might be pleasantly surprised.

Phillip Lindsay - Despite being 5'8", 190 pounds, Lindsay lead the nation in carries with 301. On the plus side, he didn't fumble a single time. Colorado's All-Purpose back also returns kicks. He's another school record-holder in all-purpose yards with 5,760 over his time at the school.

Kyle Hicks - Squatty and unheralded, Hicks did everything for TCU. In 2016, led the team in both rushing yards and receptions. His multi-faceted skill-set will attract the attention of any team who might be looking for a back who can do it all (like the Steelers).

Rashaad Penny - The one weakness I can find in his game is that he's a sh!t pass-blocker. Penny is a huge sleeper prospect who runs with absurd power and great vision to top off a great second gear and explosion. No publication is giving him respect right now, but he'll be a Day 2 pick and a possible star.

Kalen Ballage - Another sleeper, Ballage is one of the best pass-catchers in this class. On top of that, he's 6'3" and 230 pounds. Naturally, he doesn't run with a lot of speed and elusiveness. I dug around and saw him compared to David Johnson, which is crazy, but he has that same raw skillset. Whatever team picks him shouldn't be disappointed, especially since he should be available on Day 3.

Any team doing that is a bit foolish IMHO its been proven time and time again you can find running backs later int he draft.

Find us the next Dion Jones (Falcons) he’s not a freak like Shazier but he covers sideline to sideline Saved their season a few times in the recent games I wstched.

In the scheme that Tomlin and Butler want are hell bent on running a LB like Dion Jones is a must. Basically an oversized safety.

Demo got it right! I meant somebody good. Someone like Dion Jones. There aren't many guys in this draft that can come close to doing what Shazier could do. The scheme the Steelers are running demands an explosive and athletic guy manning Shaziers position. They have got to have a more athletic back up in that position.

Skai Moore from S. Carolina excels in pass coverage the guy reads the QB really well. I'm not as impressed with his run stopping abilities but I think he'd be a really good fit for what the Steelers do in pass coverage.

Dorian ODaniel from Clemson is another guy that has skills that would translate well to what the Steelers do with their ILB.

Jerome Baker from Ohio State is a guy that didn't do as well as expected this season at Ohio State. He's quick, has good instincts, and does well in pass coverage.
