Maybe the 1st one, not the ricochet attempt.

Completely disagree, yeah the defense was asteocious but u have to play the percentages and give them another chance by kicking off. How often does an onside kick work? Answer very little to never. Another game showing how stupid Tomlin is when it comes to game management and playing the percentages to give ur team the best chance to win. And we wonder why they get efforts like they do against the inferior teams. Imagine what Bellichick and his staff could and would do with this personal? It’s inexcussable losing to that team from FL.

Boy, was I ever wrong about needing only 25 points to win this game!

Three things...I don't care about the onside with one second. Seriously, why is that even an issue?

The issue with coaching was the overall decision making. TWICE you have 4th and inches and you screw it up BOTH times! Seriously, what is this team's aversion to the QB sneak? Ben is almost 250 lbs...he should be able to get a few inches. Those two turnovers on downs led to a potential 28 point swing!

32 seconds on the clock, down 10, 15 yards from the end zone...KICK THE FUCKING FIELD GOAL!!!

Lastly, with over two minutes to play and two timeouts you absolutely HAVE to kick the ball off. Trying an onside kick and virtually conceding 3 points is just another terrible decision by Tomlin and Co. I get that the defense had been shredded all day, but you have to give them a chance because its a far more likely scenario to force Bortles and the Jags into a 3 and out than it is to recover an onside kick!

This offseason they need to cut ties with Todd Haley. I think he's all but gone anyways, but just promote Randy Fichtner, make Ben happy, and move on down the road.

Then, they need to draft the best available ILB in this draft. I love Ryan Shazier and hope he makes a 100% recovery, but its highly doubtful he ever plays football again and it was PAINFUL watching this defense without him. His speed and playmaking was sorely missed not only today but against the Ravens and the Patriots as well.

Sucks to be out but better to lose this week than next week to the Patriots.

    GO JAGS!!

You lose to them twice and you are still calling them inferior.

Not Jacksonville, talking about the Bears, and struggling to win against Colts, etc

??? Are you under the impression that Pittsburgh was the only team left that could beat them?

  10. Its easier to get a FG than a TD...AB needs to get out of bounds w 20 secs left

I still think the defense is weak with Shazier out there but I’m in full belief he stops Fournette on that 4th down on his 1st TD. Spence was slow in filling the hole and I truly believe Shazier gets there to hold him short of the goaline.

I am yes, NE won’t be as stupid as our beloved Super Steelers were today

Simply because there was a chance and the coaches just said F it. A clean recovery gives you 1 play for a Hail Mary, DPI or something. Getting it off a defender ends the game regardless of who recovers. It isn't and shouldn't be THE narrative but it was very dumb.

1st of all this whole game was your freakin fault because you posted in the game thread. Everyone knows when you post in a game thread it's a sure loss so WAY TO GO DUMBAZZ!!

2nd, I originally thought the same thing with :32 but it was a running clock. It would have killed 15 seconds just trying to get a FG off.

p.s. Again thanks for posting in the game thread. :chuks::devil::rake::p

Please be advised that since the middle of the 3rd quarter of the regular season game when the Steelers had a 9-7 lead, the Jaguars scored 68 points against them, that’s 5 1/2 quarters, 68 freakin’ points and I don’t care that their defense scored 3 TDs, 68 freakin’ points

  16. Tomlin didnt change 4th n inches....thats on Ben...also the toss sweep was a joke call on 4th down

I don't think any AFC playoff team was beating the Patriots. Gotta hope the Vikings or Eagles can do it. Maybe the Jags can also (I've had them in the Championship game for weeks now, Mano can confirm)

It’s about matchups dear friend, Steelers don’t matchup well against Jacksonville, but they matchup well against NE and felt this was the year they would beat them if they played again

Fair enough on it being my fault. Like Ben and Tomlin, I will take the blame and try to do better in the future.

As for the FG, they could have spiked the ball. It wasn't 4th down. Spike it, kick the FG, onside kick with 25 seconds left at least gives you a chance.

Oh I understand matchups very well. I just don't think the Steelers match up as well to New England as you do is all. Maybe with Shazier, but definitely not without him
