I like most wonder why they would lie about it. They dont gain a competative advantage by lying. The still have to answer about his injury status every week. If its the same injury as owens wouldnt he have needed surgery?

I guess if you want to be medically specific I should have said similar. Since in all reality there is no such thing as "the same" injury. An inch or two higher or lower involves ligaments, the amount of separation of the bone and the various degrees of fracture. There is also the human factor. Whether or not someone believes surgery is the answer might be involved.

I’m reading that if there was a game this week, AB would be questionable. That’s a 50/50 chance to play. That’s encouraging, should be somewhere between a 50-75% chance that he plays in the divisional round, maybe more.

If you go to the Twitter page of Brown he posted a video on 12-24 of himself gutting out a walk up his driveway. If he had a break or a fracture I highly doubt he would have been walking on his injured leg without a boot or crutches only 7 days after sustaining the injury.

Watching the play I was convinced he would have a fracture at the very least.

January 14th will be exactly four weeks. Four weeks recovery is best case for a grade 2 tear. We all know AB is doing anything and everything he can to be ready to play on the 14th. Thankfully the Steelers earned a bye. The Steelers are much better equipped to succeed without Brown. The way the defense has played lately I'll feel a lot better knowing AB is good to go.

To heal a muscle tear, do you think it would require using it or exercising that muscle? I'm not going to continue to debate whether or not the injury is a muscle tear compared to a fracture. There have been linebackers play in the Super Bowl with a fracture in the same area, with much less time for recovery. I hope that AB's leg heals and can play. Why things are being done to make it appear one way or another doesn't matter to me. I just hope he plays and have been optimistic about it since others have played with what is considered a fracture in the same area. Muscle tears usually are worse and require surgery and a much longer recovery time. Good luck AB.

No kidding. Can you imagine how anemic this offense would have been if Brown sustained an injury last year?

Teammates said Brown wanted to return to practice last week but was not allowed. I love the drive of Brown and trust the medical staff and coaching staff will protect him from himself.

Loving what I'm seeing from the offense headed into the playoffs.

It is bad when you have to have revenge to beat a team you already beat but the refs decided to give them the victory.

Maybe they'll have to "accidentally" run over an official.

Are fans still crying about this? I joked about Steelers fans acting like Seahawks fans after the game but damn some really are becoming seahawks fans. We did not loose this game because of the refs we lost this game because we couldn't keep the Patriots from scoring. We led 10-7, 17-10, 17-16, and 24-26. Fans want to blame the refs for loosing the game more power to them but in all honestly we lost because we didnt do what we needed to do end of story.

You're right of course. My comments were in jest and while I don't expect you to recall, I was one that agreed with the call and placed blame for the loss elsewhere.

By the way, my brother lives in Seattle and he tells me the hatred for XL is alive and well. We may whine but we're no hawks fans.

Im saying it in jest too. The refs were only a small part of that loss, the bigger issue as you say was the defense .... but also the playing it safe offense too eary in 2nd half and subsequent punting....all of which i said on game thread too.....when a fan of another team was asking me my thoughts on the game i said , i wish James hadnt lunged with the ball and given them a possible reason to overturn the call

Complaining about refs is different though than blaming a loss all on the refs....besides as ive often said , i think funny business going on in NFL games happens only occasionally and usually not to determine a win loss but thats just my opinion.

Sweep the AFC East. Do you have a problem with that?
