The day will come where you probably won't have a choice. Sure, you could still watch hockey in an old black and white tv from the 60s today if you want. It's just that it won't be foster hewitt giving the play by play lol

You'll be reaching for that head set, and onto the ice you go.

How about them habs? Last place and paying large on price, did they have a choice?
Terrible team, they woildn't be any worse with ben scrivens in the net, price is no saviour this time around., with this group.

Hey, they beat the Panthers, the other night. Ran 'em out of the damn building. That game was ugly.

Of course, Florida just drubbed Anaheim in a similar fashion, so maybe it shouldn't looked at as anything other than a sign of Florida's inconsistency. This new system has them flying around, and we've already seen them come out flat every few games (see: Philly, Montreal). Having a down game where you're guaranteed a loss 1/3rd of the time is a bad formula. Let's hope it's just early season troubles.

Oh, and they can't stay healthy. McCann, Sceviour, Brickley... young guys who have been spark plug players for us so far this season. I'm hoping those guys come back with the same momentum and play they had when they went out...

Trochek, Huberdeau, and Barkov have come around.

Well, Trocheck had his coming out party a year or two ago. Huby and Barkov have been outstanding, but they were hurt all of last year. Having them back and healthy, finally, is awesome. They're a fucking thrill to watch, especially now that Dadonov is adding some dynamic speed to the group.

Moving Bjugstad to the wing has been a great move. I was skeptical, and I was wrong. There are a lot of things to like about this team, they just have to stay healthy and consistent. Having bad defense and average to below-average goaltending is going to get you killed. One of those things can be fixed quickly... Our D really needs to get it together.

They're stacked with high first rounders.

I remember Trochek when he was a junior with the US, fast skater, right there with Gaudreau.

He won the speed tourney at the all-star break, I think. Or at least came close. I only watched the first heat, to my memory.

He plays fast and hard, but he's not a real big guy. He's a pain in the ass to try and move the puck against near the blue lines. Comes hard to the net and is an equal threat to score or set up a teammate. I absolutely love the guy's game. He just keeps it coming. Spent the most time on ice for the Panthers, so far, and plays all phases.

I'm actually wearing his jersey at the office for casual Friday, today.

This is the age of the small player again (kane, marner, JG,). The bigger players will slow a lot quicker as they age, they'll have to learn to adjust as special team 4th liners and pk specialists.

There's no guarantees once you hit 29 anymore, get in long-term when you have a chance or play for less than before.

Dansk looks great when tested. Filled up seats, bands, dancing girls in the isles... I like it. Its been a fun game to watch. Colorado giving up too many odd-man rushes tonight.

I have the Canes and Blues game streaming also... Carolina has a good young team too.

If you break down their roster with Neal, Perron, Marchessault, Eakin, these players aren't chopped liver.

I guess there was enough talent to go around that would've filled two rosters.

Since Detroit moved back to the EC, I've been looking for a WC team to get interested in or back. Think I may have found them. Vegas. MAF, Engelland, black/gold, Penz using "vegas gold" as a color for a while, logo reminds me of Wheeling Nailers too... making sense.

Miller, Subban, Smith and even Goucher. Vegas has plenty of Broon in em.

I’m gonna reel it in a bit and say that Vegas is not going to make the playoffs. Fun start and all that but I don’t think it’s sustainable with that roster. Honeymoon ends at some point.

I'll take Vegas as my WC team, no way this is sustainable for any team. I 'll go out on a limb and say that they get the 8th seed.

This kind of reminds me of the sharks early years with Markov and Larionov, but Vegas is well rounded.

There's quality players they picked up and the top 6 is matching up real well with thw rest of the league.

Interesting start to the season. Happy with what I see from the Jackets. Right where I suspected to be.
