I hope it lives well there, probably out of context, but...

lol, I don't believe context is a prerequisite for anything in that thread but I'm sure someone will take issue with your comments.

Anything political is going to need to remain in that section.

    10,363.

That's how many consecutive snaps Joe Thomas had played before injuring his tricep in the 3rd quarter yesterday.

    Dallas Cowboys...

The Dallas Cowboys will continue to have the benefit of the services of running back Ezekiel Elliott, for at least another week.

Via multiple reports, Judge Katherine Polk Failla has refused the league’s request to expedite the hearing on whether the pending temporary restraining order will become a preliminary injunction, which would block the Elliott suspension until the litigation ends. The hearing will be held on October 30, after the Cowboys play Washington.

Judge Failla, nominated to the federal bench by President Obama, presumably has a political background and ideology that favors employee rights, which means that Elliott and the NFL Players Association have reason to believe that the suspension will be blocked as the validity of the suspension is resolved in court.

    Minnesota Vikings...

Lost in the fact that Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been cleared to practice but not play is the reality that, for the kind of injury Bridgewater sustained (and in light of the position he plays), clearance to practice is clearance to play.

Which means that he’s good to go, right now, if the Vikings want him to play.

But the Vikings don’t want him to play, right now. As one source explained it, the Vikings and Bridgewater definitely don’t want him to play next week in London, given the notoriously slippery surfaces of the soccer pitches that periodically transmogrify into gridirons.

So he’ll be back on the roster for Week 10, the first post-bye game to be played by the Vikings. The question then becomes when he’ll actually play.

That one will be more complicated, given that Case Keenum has played very well this season in the absence of Bridgewater and Sam Bradford. Keenum has been good, but Bridgewater could be better — and he could take the Vikings farther than Keenum ever will.

So go ahead and put this one in the “good problem to have” category, even though that good problem quickly could become just a problem. (PFT)

You could have Bridgewater and Bradford backing up Kenum.

It very well could happen, but I suspect after the return from London, we will see Bridgewater again. I just hope by that time the Vikings have a healthy O-line to protect the QB's. Lost 2 to injury against the Ravens D.

    Duane Brown is back.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the veteran left tackle has returned to work with the Texans, ending his lengthy holdout.

Missing all of training camp and the first six games of Houston's season in search of a new deal, Brown is now eligible to play for the Texans -- or be traded.

NFL suspends Vikings’ Andrew Sendejo for hit on Mike Wallace

Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo won’t be playing in London on Sunday.

Sendejo has been suspended for one game for his hit on Ravens receiver Mike Wallace yesterday. The Vikings play the Browns in an early kickoff at Twickenham Stadium this week.

“The violation was flagrant and warrants a suspension because it could have been avoided, was violently directed at the head and neck area and unreasonably placed both you and an opposing player at risk of serious injury,” NFL V.P. of Football Operations Jon Runyan told Sendejo in a letter informing him of the suspension.

Although Sendejo was flagged for the hit, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer argued that it was clean, saying that Wallace was a runner — not a defenseless receiver — at the time of the collision, and that Sendejo hit him with only “a glancing blow.” Runyan disagreed.

Sendejo is viewed as a repeat offender because he was already fined this year for a hit to the head of Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate. Sendejo is expected to appeal.

Carson Wentz’s four TD passes lead Eagles to 34-24 win over Washington

Behind four touchdown passes from Carson Wentz, the Philadelphia Eagles improved to 6-1 Monday night to remain the lone one-loss team in the NFL with a 34-24 victory over the Washington Redskins.

It’s the second time this season that Wentz has thrown four touchdowns in a game. He also completed four touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals two weeks ago. Wentz passed for 268 yards with an interception against Washington on Monday night and led the team in rushing as well with seven carries for 64 yards.

    Cleveland Browns...

The Browns announced this morning that Kizer will start on Sunday against the Vikings in London.

Kizer was benched two weeks ago in favor of Kevin Hogan, who started and did not play well. Then he was re-installed as the starter last week, only to be benched again, this time in favor of Cody Kessler, during the game.

The 0-7 Browns can’t find a solution at quarterback, and although head coach Hue Jackson says publicly that he’s confident in Kizer, his actions over the last two weeks haven’t shown it. If Kizer struggles on Sunday against the Vikings, he may get benched again.

But for now, the Browns are going back to the second-round rookie who started the year as the starter. Kizer may lead the NFL in interceptions, but the Browns think he is their best option.
