Yay! Garbage time touchdown. No shut out. Pad those stats Glennon my boy, I think blang might have been right.
Im actually, pissed we scored that TD. At first I wasn't sure why I was pissed. Then I realized that it's because I know Fox will have something fucking ridiculously positive to say about Glennon and it will be enough to keep Glennon in next week.
Glennon had 300 yards passing in this game. 1 TD 2 INTs. Fox will spin this as a win in a few minutes. I'm actually glad I'm not in market, otherwise I would be watching that presser and getting more pissed off.
There are a lot of good takeaways from the game. They kept the level of effort high which resulted in the late TD. They didn't let the score, the numerous turnovers, or the injuries get them down. ... sarcasm
John Fox is Walt "get off my lawn" Kowalski. A bitter, stubborn old man who's best days are way behind him. The game has passed him by which is why John Elway was smart enough to dump his ass only for the Bears to be stupid enough to pick him up. The man cannot get fired soon enough and at this point, I really don't care if Pace goes as well. This season is a repeat of the last two, they are not getting better and Kowalski is a big reason why.
Was going to start a postgame thread but figured what is the point: - I didn't watch the second half. I had a birthday lunch to attend so I DVR'd the second half after watching the first half. I looked at my phone for the final score. Checked the box score to see if Trubisky played and when I saw he didn't, figured I wouldn't bother because that would have been the only thing worth seeing. - I am still completely baffled as to what the Bears are doing on offense. They are running an offense made for a rookie but yet not playing the rookie, they are playing the guy the paid $15 million and he can't see beyond 10 yards down the field. The offense is pathetic, I have seen more complex and diverse offenses run in high school. YOU HAVE TO AT LEAST ATTEMPT TO THROW THE BALL DOWN THE FIELD. If not you will get guys jumping routes and getting INT's. This is basic football, even the most tight ass conservative coaches know this. - If Jordan Howard is injured he needs to stop playing. He is not the same guy he was last year and right now is not only hurting himself, but the team. Apparently he has a shoulder injury and if that is the case, then don't play him. Put him in the Hospital size training room the Bears need to keep all the players injured on this team. - I have never in my football watching life watched a team that gets more injuries than the Bears have the past 2 seasons. I know there was supposed to be some evaluation of the medical staff and strength and conditioning staff to try and figure out how to do things better in the offseason but it failed. The amount of injuries this team is having is an epidemic. - At this point, if Fangio can't figure out a way to cause turnovers, I'm fine with him leaving as well. He has improved the defense and built a solid group but this team needs short fields and is just not getting any help in this area. This is one area that is absolutely killing this team right now. - Wasn't Eddie Jackson drafted in part because of his punt return ability? Why the f*ck is he not doing it? - If I have said it once, I will say it 100 times. YOU CANNOT have a statue at QB, he must be an athlete. He doesn't need to be Michael Vick or Russell Wilson but needs to be able to move in the pocket and get some yards with his feet. I have never seen a more unathletic QB in my life than Mike Glennon. Sanchez is a better option at this point if they don't want to use Trubisky yet. He is flat out garbage and it is embarrassing that they keep putting him out there. - I wasn't thinking Pace should be fired starting the year but at this point I wouldn't care. If he is thinking about taking anyone from the Saints organization to replace Fox, then I hope he does get fired because I wouldn't even want Sean Payton right now from that team, they are all toxic damaged goods in my opinion. I don't know that I trust him to make the right hire but I do know one thing, Fox needs to go and the sooner the better.
One more thing that pretty much sums up the state of this franchise. I saw something today that blew my mind and then realized the said part is that it will probably stay as an active streak until next year. The Bears haven't one a game in the month of September since 9/22/14. Steelers and Packers, next 2 games. Let that sink in. F*ck the McKaskey's
Don't insult Walt that way. Walt was a great man who was a role model to that young Asian kid and took down a gang of thugs. Fox is more like Arnold Stang.
