Jeffery misses practice again While LeGarrette Blount returned to the team after missing three days for personal reasons, Alshon Jeffery missed his fourth straight day of practice on Friday. A shoulder injury has kept Jeffery out of practice this week, but head coach Doug Pederson said Jeffery is past the injury and Friday was just a rest day. He hasn't yet decided if Jeffery will play in the first preseason game in Green Bay next Thursday. "It's just a matter of keeping him rested," Pederson said. "We're not playing a game. I've seen a lot from him, probably more so than you guys have seen. I'm comfortable with where he's at in our offense. We're going to make sure he's healthy going into the season." Jeffery hasn't practiced since Sunday. He missed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week, which meant he missed the two days that featured tackling to the ground.
I always find it interesting, with guys like this. Constant soft tissue injuries keeping him out... I mean, I guess someone can be more prone to it than someone else. But it's such an odd thing to bet on - to presume a guy won't be playing for you because a sore shoulder, or an ankle, or this, or that... I wish him the best of luck and health - I think he's going to be a great fit in PHI. But he's gotta play.
What I find crazy is the WR drafted before Jeffery in 2012. Blackmon, Floyd, Wright, Jenkins, Quick and Stephen Hill. Ty Hilton is the only one worth a damn in that class (other then Jeffery).
When I first opened this, I was expecting you to be talking about the Bears and the injury problems they are having again. Stop me if you heard this before... http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2017/08/04/injuries-piling-up-in-first-week-of-bears-training-camp/
