Putting aside the last one cos picks in the 200s are lottery tickets imo.

Pretty incredible what happened with them. I mean maaaybe Bowman plays nickel(?) someone help me out, but the Falcons have essentially dedicated their entire draft(and a big chunk of the next one) to 2 positions, edge and Safety. And tbh the actual players themselves i find it hard to criticise on an individual/pick-by-pick basis. But from a more over-arching roster building perspective, WOW...

Granted there were limited picks and there's a LOT in place already on Offense, particularly at the skills. And its not like the Falcons have a bad OL by any means. But all that said i would've def put a higher pick into O-Line. You may actually have The Guy at QB, and while he's not a statue he's also not a fast moving target, i would've got another blocker. I thought Xavier Watts was a nice pick at 90something, but i do wonder how crushing it was for C Jared Wilson to go one pick before them. What is the plan at C?

Falcons traded up to 96 for Watts specifically. They weren't after Wilson.

I'd know because it was with the Eagles. According to the interview the Eagles wanted Ty Robinson but felt they could trade down as similarly graded players should be there if they couldn't get him. Traded down 15 spots with 2 quick moves. Falcons moved up 5 for yet another future pick given away.

So sure enough, after interviewing both, Chiefs did sign DT Coziah Izzard and LB Brandon George as UDFAs.

Also, Atlanta does have the benefit of a good UDFA haul. WR Nick Nash, G Joshua Gray, CB Cobee Bryant, who is my most surprising undrafted player this year. 6’0” 180, willing tackler, plus ball skills, measured against SEC competition.

Again, Baltimore signed some good ones. OL Thomas Perry, S Keondre Jackson, LB Jay Higgins. Got some physical competition in camp.

Indy did nothing as far as I can tell. Three no-name WRs. Though one came from powerhouse Emporia State which I’ve never previously heard of. So there’s that.

Vikings got some interesting names too.
DE Tyler Batty, OT Logan Brown (does the league simply hate Kansas players this year?), TE Benjamin Yurosek. Max Brosmer, if you’re into that sort of thing

Also the signings might be a window into teams’ own perceived weaknesses.

For instance, 4 of Commanders 7 reported signings are among the DB group.

5 of Giants 8 are WRs.

Are these the dumb luck of who accepted to sign there, or teams attacking particular positions hard post-draft, hoping to find one gem? My guess is the latter

Looks like the Seahawks are signing Jared Ivey. He was by far the most surprising UDFA remaining. He must have been waiting for the team or offer he really wanted. Seattle didn't draft an edge rusher and could use one
