That's the $230 million question and it is all over the board... Your guess would be as good as any other mouth breather reporting on it.

I hope they try to stock the cupboard back up with best player available picks this year. Maybe they take one of the day 2 QB’s but I have no idea who. Those guys may be hard to come by with the lack of QB depth in this draft and I sure don’t want to trade up to teens or low twenties in the first round to get Sanders or Dart, Ewers or Milroe.

Will Howard in the 3rd? I could live with that but we still need a lot of pieces elsewhere.

If I had to put money down on the pick, it would be on Travis Hunter.

I have a draft scenario that I keep coming back to that has Shedeur as the 4th quarterback off the board.

Sanders is not a fit for every team.

It's probably the most likely version of my mock that I will end up with.

And it doesn't have the Browns ending up with Sanders, Dart or Milroe.

I've been pounding the table for Will Howard. I think he could learn a lot from Flacco also. If he is there in the 3rd, I would take him, but honestly, I will be surprised if he is. I think the talking heads have him rated way lower than reality. But, who knows.

It's possible, and I'm sure the Browns backers would get behind Howard on the roster.

IMO, it feels like there is a pretty clear line between the top 5 and then Howard and maybe Ewers.

I know we disagree on his draft stock so this is just my view - I think the top of the 3rd would be a safe place to feel you could get him. Depending on how the board breaks for passers earlier on, that late 3rd may be where the solid value for Howard lies.

@Lyman appears to be in agreement.

This has gotten blown up a bit, based on the reporting about Carr's condition.

I originally had the framework of a mock that had Seattle moving up for Tyler Warren with a trade down from the Saints. I think it is probably less likely now that New Orleans will be willing to move down, with Moore having a chance to tap a quarterback of his choice to add to the room immediately, with the safety net of Carr removed.

I have been patiently waiting for this scenario to be laid out, lol. I am assuming the order would be Ward, Dart, Milroe, then Sanders to the Browns, am I right?

It could still happen, the Saints could be all in on Dart, maybe even move up for him.

I predict one of these teams is going to grade the number two QB taken much higher than the rest of the class and they are going to assume others have the same grade and pull the trigger on a trade up to get him. Maybe as high as #2 overall.

I’d like to hear from my Browns brethren and anyone else willing to leave an opinion. Do you all believe either Hunter or Carter(opinions vary, doesn’t matter which camp you are in) are generational enough to pass on a high value trade down and miss out on them both?

What is your minimum needed to pass on these players if you are willing?

I'm waiting on a client to show up, so I had the time to circle back. lol

Yeah, it had the Saints moving down (SEA moving up) and taking Dart, the Steelers taking Milroe and the Giants jumping back up for Sanders (MIN trading down).

It really depends on what Moore would prefer at passer, but the Vegas odds are starting to lean towards Shedeur being the pick there. If there really is heat on that pick, it may shake up the top of the board a little.

If it goes Ward, then Sanders, it may be the Saints trying to jockey up ahead of the Raiders. New England would probably be good with moving back, depending on the return.

I still think only Ward and Sanders would be the passers that go in the top 10, unless the Raiders or someone were to move ahead of the Saints, putting Dart in play at #9.

I keep coming back to that Milore pick for PIT. If they had their second-round pick, I doubt that would show up on my radar the way it has.

I can’t disagree with that scenario. I think you are right when it comes to pressure on the Steelers with no second round pick. It’s either get your guy there if he’s available or wait until next year. If Rodgers jerks them around come draft night, they might pull the trigger and adjust their offense to best suit his play.

While I don’t like any of these QBs, the pressure is real on these teams to find a QB. It wouldn’t shock me to see both Sanders and Dart go top ten.

I know I am late to the party :SEP:

I'm in the camp of Carter or trade down. Getting a guy who can compliment Garrett, and learn from him.

Living in the viewing area I got to watch Colorado on Saturdays.

I hate sanders pocket presence and his footwork has not improved. I'm not sure he fits stefankis offense.

Hunter, as athletic as he is, I don't see a guy can be elite on either side of the ball. As a receiver his route running is ok,but I feel he will struggle against better competition week to wek.

At some point I just hope the figure out how to be a consistent winning organization again :holy:

Just some fast facts about the Browns new QB, Frodo Baggins...

OK, maybe I'm being a little harsh on the fact that he is shorter than Russel Wilson by a 1/2 inch. Maybe, just maybe we don't all know more than pro scouts. He is still a 3rd round talent, so I'm not going to be serving up orange Kool Aid this morning. However, when it comes to taking a bad QB in a draft that might be historically bad, he might be the best of the bad....

Did a bit of armchair research and realize that taking a late 3rd flyer on this QB is not a bad thing. He had a strong arm. Takes care of the ball 30td 6 int . Agree that I'm not drinking any Kool Aid.

At least we don't have to worry about the Sanders circus (love the Johnny football comparison btw) coming to town.

Side note another Big10 player to the Browns
