    Love this talking point.

    Detroit's #2 TE last year had........13 catches.

    GENIUS!

Funniest thing I'm seeing from the reddit/twitter idiots is that Braxton is going to play better since he'll be next to an all pro guard. Yep, if only ever LT in the league could play next to an all pro guard.

I had a twitter argument about this. Because people are stupid.

I can’t believe that Ben Johnson is that stupid. Not yet anyway. I would hope….pray that he strongly prefers the traits that Loveland has over Kmet and we will soon see Cole traded away. I am sure he does love 2TE sets. Doesn’t mean Cole is the blocking TE he envisions.

I get we need to upgrade OT but who were were they taking at 10 that was going to do that?

I would have much preferred they take a player that could help the shit ass pass rush or run defense.

I don't want to defend Poles at all, but OL the picks were all gone at that point. Weak draft class meant no one was going to move up that far. Banks going to the Saints was a real shocker. After that I was hoping maybe Conerly would fall to the second round, but the commies snatched him up, and then Simmons gone to the Chiefs. I think it was CBS I was reading where they said these teams want to emulate Philly's success by building the trenches. Which, fuck me, yes, that is how you win football games. That said, I'm not sure who I take at 10 once the draft fell the way it did. Felt ripe for a trade down, but no one seemingly was interested. Until we find out in a few weeks that multiple teams wanted up, heh.

That's the part that surprised me the most, I thought for sure it was going to be Warren, especially since the overlap in skills isn't quite so bad between Warren and Kmet. And with the injury concerns, I thought the Bears would be more conservative in a pick given how badly pre-injuries have gone for the Bears. Nope, lets fucking rock, heh.

It's a luxury pick but even then, the highest pick at TE for us since Ditka when we have Kmet. The two picks tonight will be interesting. Given the Jeanty noise, I feel like they will pick up one of the backs, and probably one of the DEs?

I admittedly don’t know the prospects as well as you or others here but I saw a couple went at the end of the 1st, though I know one of the guys has an injury history.

If trade down options weren’t there then we should have done BPA for DL or one of the tackles. I’m tired of this team ignoring the trenches.

I hear ya on that I’m tired of them picking offense and buying defense. How about we spend a high pick on a defensive player. Just a thought. Maybe next year.

I fucking give up. Fuck these guys. Fucking fuck fuck fuck.

Now it's about time for a kicker

A WR. You really can’t make this up.

    Fire this incompetent GM.

I was just about to say this. But it probably be Dion’s kid.

Now they trade back? I guess they feel it’s too high for the kicker. 56 is a better spot.

Look at the bright side. They should be able to move the ball well in the 17 minutes the offense possesses it.

Trade down with bills. 56, 62, and 109 to the bears for 41, 72, and 240.

This is some Mickey Mouse shit

What I like about drafting a glorified receiver at #10 is that it probably means they won't draft another receiver, given they took one at #9 last year and have a highly paid one they just extended.

Should mean they're going to FINALLY focus draft attention on the trenches, because constantly building that position via high priced free agent cast offs is not a recipe for sustained success.

They drafted a WR at #7 in the second round?

Get my torch and pitchfork, hun.

Now we will watch a parade of edge players that would have made an impact go to other teams while we wait to take a project later in the round.

I'll say the same thing about both of these guys that I said about Odunze - they might be super talented, I have no idea. But we'll never see them be successful without meaningful investment in the offensive and defensive lines.

Poles committed a hate crime against Caleb last year, and so he did all the "optics" stuff to fix things. But not investing draft capital in the most important positions year after year is how you lose, and make none of these picks matter.

We knew this was coming when Poles wasn't fired. Adding an offensive head coach wasn't going to magically fix the roster building. So... I genuinely expected nothing less from this weekend.

Can someone please explain this trade? It’s hurting my head.
