Steelers Draft and Mel Kiper sucks thread!!

A sad note.....Derrick Harmons mother passed away shortly after he was drafted. What a bittersweet night for that young man.

Condolences to him.

 

Can someone please explain to me the appeal of Quinshon Judkins? I think there are about 10 running backs better than him in this draft. I watch film after film trying to see anything special. I haven't yet. Strength is okay, not elite. Has okay shiftiness, but nothing special; there are about a dozen shiftier runners in this draft class. His game speed is average, even though he tested well. His vision is awful. He lacks suddenness and decisiveness. He catches the ball well and moves well in space, but he's a disaster in a crowd. Between the tackles, he may be the worst runner in this class. Nearly all of his production comes on the perimeter. I don't understand the love he gets. Is it just because he is a Buckeye?

 

Oh my goodness. That is rough! After seeing this post, I found an article about it. My heart goes out to him.

 

Hey Eagles got AJ Brown. Titans drafted his replacement with that pick in Treylon Burks who has been severely injured each of his 1st 3 years.

 

That’s kind of my point. Would rather take the proven commodity this year than gamble on a junk QB or the 7-10th best WR

1. Alright I've calmed down about Harmon. It's a big need and I love a tough front 7.
2. I've told myself that we drafted a WR in round 2 this year. His name is DK and he's not a project. He's up to speed. I also look forward to seeing Roman Wilson finally playing.
3. The browns are stockpiling picks good gravy. Picking 33 and 36 I believe. And took the Jags 1st rounder next year.
4. I was wondering why I didn't see Kiper last night until I realized I'm watching the ABC broadcast. Just an option for yinz.
5. If you really don't like Kiper, try Pat McAfee on YouTube. "Mad Mel" is always good for a few laughs.
6. Quinshon Judkins didn't get as much tape because he was RB2 behind Henderson, who is the better RB.
7. I still like Will Howard as the last of Tier 2 QBs and hopefully will be available for us.
8. Some-More Blunders wasn't drafted on Thursday. That's not a difference of opinion, that's a judgment.
9. Goodell still sucks and McAfee needs to stop kissing his ass. AJ Hawk should have thrown him into the parking lot
10. In case you missed it, the Steelers are playing a game in Ireland this year. Let's win it for Dan Rooney.

 

Re Harmon, his mom died right after he was drafted. How can you not root for him.

Pick 83 will be agony because we have to watch 50 players get wiped off the board.

 

33. TreVeon Henderson is my guess.

 

DK Metcalf is a known commodity and a top 5 WR in the league.
National douchebags will say but who gets him the ball. Forget the fact Rudolph was a spark at the end of 2023. It did not work out for him in Tenn, well nothing worked for them, they sucked so bad they picked first last night. Rudolph knew he would be welcomed back and have a chance to start games.

 

Rudolph is better than Pickett and Trubisky just sucks all together. Depends on the board I will guess who in a few hours when we get closer.

 

Schweshinger was a one year wonder, time will tell.

 

They could also look to continue build that defense further with one of the 2 picks. Johnson, Green, Emmanwori, or get themselves a big tight end as well. I agree, especially getting the jags pick next year, they’re setting themselves up to be in position to take one of the top QB’s. But does it matter?? Kind of like the Jets, Cleavland is where promising QB’s go to die.

We both got it right. Emmanwori is Kam Chancelor with more speed.

 

Cleveland goes WR or RB. Henderson or Noel.

 

Judkins, ok replaces Nick Chubb who is uncertain. I had Henderson higher.
