How is Harmon a better pick than Milroe, Dart, Henderson?

  3. StlCrtn Franchise Player Steelers

Because those guys aren’t first round talents. Harmon is.

Surprised Emmanwori lasted this long. Why did Philly jump KC, ?

Possibly, but with the way the first played out, DL went super heavy.

For the Aaron Rodgers haters, like me, ..........WTF ELSE WE GOT IN THE QB ROOM

While Harmon is worthy of being drafted in the middle of the first round, their recent history with Troy Fautanu could scare them away from pulling the trigger on the talented interior defender. There were concerns about Fautanu's knee heading into the NFL Draft, and this caused the 10th overall prospect on the NFL Draft Expert Consensus Board to fall to the Steelers at pick 20.

But after Fautanu's first NFL game, the offensive tackle suffered a knee injury in practice and would miss the remainder of his rookie season. Pittsburgh's first-round pick last year offered no value in 2024 because he couldn't stay on the field. Depending on the severity of Harmon's shoulder injury, the Steelers could steer clear and select a prospect who has clean medical.

Pitt doctored cleared him . He was my #1 target since forever. Is Dart better than Rudolph? Is Howard nowhere near Dart? Harmon was elite as was Graham, Grant. Nolen. That is why 4 DT went by pick 21.

At least I got the top 3 right just Carolina went size over speed . I dinged him because some interviews were less than inspiring.and I got Egbuka right he went #2 super high character and work ethic

Doubtful After Philly dismantled KC both DT and Edge were pushed up boards. By 16 only 1 DT with a first round grade remained. In fact Tyliek Williams went 28th who had a 2nd round grade by most .

    My Summary for Round 1.
Mel Kiper sucks, hence the title of this thread now in it's 13th year. Sanders as QB1 is laughable. Shedeur Sanders is an entitled shit who interviewed like a Diva, the apple doesn't fall from the tree or the only guy coaching him for 4 years. Sanders took stupid sacks playing hero ball. They had no running game for 2 reasons. Coach Prime was never about running the ball or having his pride and joy hand it to someone else. They loaded up their roster with WR to help Neon 2. And until he learns to not pat the ball before he throws teams are going to tee off on him, 0.1 seconds for guys like TJ Watt and Miles Garret matter.
The head scratcher was Atlanta, 2 pass rushers? But N.O. has no QB, nobody is scared of Tampa, and Carolina, until they get rid of the Lilliputian QB they will be stuck in mediocrity.
I liked Tyler Booker, but Grey Zabel offered more I had him 9 spots higher for that reason.
Dolphins taking Grant at 13, well they need to stop Josh Allen from running so that made sense.
Why didn't the Steelers trade back? The only teams that really wanted to move up were Atlanta and The Giants. So if they traded with the NYG they are at pick 34, with Cleveland at 33 and 36, see Custer, George.. The one team that would have worked was Philly, but I am not sure when Howie started speed dialing for Jihad Campbell, could be once he got past Minnesota. Harmon and Dart would have been gone, and also Hampton. At 32 you're looking at Emmanwori, Henderson, Milroe (my best guess).
Huge run on DT this round, Harmon was my DT2 I like the pick. Sanders is my QB4 because of all the frieking drama and attitude he brings. Is Dart better than Allar or Arch, hmmmm those of us going to the draft next year will find out. Live.
I like our odds at getting a decent, serviceable QB at 83. Only 3 teams are QB needy. CLE NO PIT, but LAR have Stafford winding down, and some of these 3-4th rounders project as good backups. With these DT running 4.9 and DE running 4.4 odds are your backup better not suck. I have Dillon Gabriel off my board hope he goes ahead of some of the others I happen to like.
The Cleveland trade. They are setting themselves up to get their franchise QB in 2026, in front of the home Steelers crowd, so get used to some ribbing. They have Denzel Ward and Jerry Jeudy even though Travis Hunter was going to sell a shitload of tickets and make for some exciting shit, Cleveland already fills the stadium even when they are terrible. They got a blue chipper in Mason Graham, every team in the AFC North needs DT studs to stop Henry and Jackson.
Onto Cincy, Stewart is boom or bust, safer pick would have been Scourton or even James Pearce. Scourton I like better because he is thicker and will set edge.
Philly gave up a 6th to move up to 31. Am I missing something? Unless they thought KC was fielding offers for Jihad Campbell. I think you can clearly see by my posts Simmons was the KC pick all along so I am still digesting that trade.
Speaking of digesting, what is the difference between and espresso and an expresso. Anyone? Well an espresso is a concentrated Italian coffee, and and expresso is a large coffee and a bran muffin.
So the model in all of this is Philly. Reload, get dynamic defenders from Georgia and Alabama and disrupt even the likes of Mahomes and the mind of Reed. Then they get huge offensive lineman to create holes for the best RB in the NFL. Meanwhile their passing attack does enough with Hurts and Brown This is why I see Milroe being the next Jalen Hurts, if I am New Orleans I am considering him and Shough, FUCK SANDERS.
The Broncos surprised me with Barron, really liked the player, I guess they think Judkins in the second was better than the second tier of CB. Speaking of, my board is loaded with talent for round 2 corners.

update: Roseman started calling AFTER 21 so they Steelers were not taking calls from anyone in the first round from what I am gathering.

I forgot everyone is working it's Friday. Every day is Sunday for me.
There are 4 QB worth a chance at 83. CLE NO LAR seem to be the teams looking for a QB today. I think day 3 is when smart teams building rosters, look for quality backups.
Is there a deal with Rodgers, man I hope NOT. Cousins is washed up, at this point Wentz is a journeyman.
Steelers waited two years too late to replace Roethlisberger, the 2021 class good at the top then it fell off a cliff. And even at the top Lawrence and Fields have yet to prove worthy of a high pick. Trey Lance what # team is he on already, traits of Kenny P. Don't even get me started on Mac SUCK Jones. I am sure he is happy being with the 49ers, but even with Kyle Shannan and his system he only went 8-8-1672. In hindsight they of rolled with Mason or taken somebody in 2020. Instead of trading for FItzpatrick, if they had kept 18 what would have taken to move up to 5 to get ahead of the Chargers? Probably a lot. And what exactly has Justin Herbert done, or won, other than being labeled "Franchise QB". Obviously the Eagles System and Hurts works better, I think we all know he is more than likely gone at 83 could be in the first hour tonight.

so we got a long wait until 83 fellas, but I’m ok with it. I look at the Metcalf trade the same as when they got Minkah. The player was better than anybody at that position in the draft, and instantly improves the team.
