I can't tell you how relieved I am. I poo-pooed the Sanders talk the whole past month, but it kept on gaining steam as a narrative, and the past few days almost all media were on board. I started to worry that they might have known something we didn't.

I am disappointed the Steelers didn't/couldn't trade back. We are going to want an additional pick or two at some point.

I think they tried, they were happy with the pick, but with with 4-5 solid players left, moving down would have gotten them back to 7 picks.

Deep enough that a few names you would have liked early 2nd would be there and disappoint you when you pass on them.

 

I still maintain there are good players available throughout this draft. I spent more time studying players in this draft than any previous year-- and there are guys in every round I would bang the table for.

Giddens should be available at 83. Martinez might be available even at 123. I'd love either of those guys in Pittsburgh. Shough is possibly available at 83; he is better than Sanders.
