2025 NFL Draft Thread

The ball jumps out and looks like it has a rocket up its ass, but I think that plays a big factor in him missing targets bigger than a sliding door on a Dodge Caravan.

If he can learn to dial it back some, his accuracy will likely improve, and he will still be ripping it with more heat than 3/4 of the league.

 

Yeah, seems like they have a plan for this draft and needed some capital. Maybe they are hoping for an O-lineman to drop into a sweet spot and go get him if he comes within striking distance?

 

I think they wanted to get some future value now while they could before the draft process makes it awkward. Losing the 3rd-last pick to move up twice is nice. They have too many picks this year and not enough picks teams might like in a trade. I think it's just a nice conversion of resources that at worse sets them up for after the draft, but yes they got ammo if a trade is needed. Watch Cleveland trade one of those 5ths they have this year to trade up and get a 6th/7th back.

 

You watch, the whole world will be wrong by picking Ward to go #1. lol

 

Cleveland didn't have a 5th and they had (4) 6ths, so this trade made sense for them.

 

Right. I forgot about the Pickett trade. I of all people should have known that.

Texans needed picks this year. They gained 2. They lost 2 5th but they did get an early 6th back. They moved down just 13 spots and gained an extra 2 picks now (at the cost of a 5th next year). Makes tons of sense.

 

I’ll be missing in action for (hopefully) only 30 minutes around 8:30ish.

I'm avoiding all spoilers as far as picks go so I'm not checking credibility much, Browns considering trading to 5 if the Jags give them what they want and trading down again. They may be looking for a partner at 5 now because the double trade would be worth losing Hunter/Carter but not the single trade.
