40. Sanders NO SAINTS ?

 

Some discussion on Depot, well pissing and moaning about Sanders/Dart at 21. They HATE HATE HATE Gerry Dulac. So since he is saying it won't be QB at 21 it must not be true. The basis of the argument is that the Front Office is sending up smoke signals. I am in the camp, don't care what he thinks, there are higher rated players who should be there at 21. Take the BPA at a position of need. Maybe they have a deal with Cousins, maybe Carson Wendt is QB2 and they take McCord. Here are the 4 QB they brought in. Sanders (smoke and mirrors) Dart (good interest) Shough (likely gone by 83) and Kyle McCord. My money is on McCord at 123. They do like Milroe but he did not come in, the same for Howard, but their board is different than our own Armchair GM Wannabe NFL executive.

At time I have to remind myself this is a hobby, I cannot control who Pittsburgh selects and when........... but like anything competitive, you want to be good at guessing. I don't believe in luck because even a blind squirrel finds a nut, doesn't get you close to guessing all 6 picks.

My board has each group in colors, easier to find players. Then in BOLD and Italics are the ones who came in for a visit. Then I go a step further and underline the bang the table guys. I also discount TE because unless they trade back and get another late pick, I don't see TE. Maybe they really like the kid out of Clemson, Bringstool, and he is there with the extra pick, maybe. Me personally I think they take 7 picks, a trade at some point. DL, RB, WR, QB, CB, OL, DE

Cleveland sits and 33 and takes Shough, my guess. They could also weigh offers and gain picks. Other than the obvious need for QB they have a need for an Edge rusher to compliment Garret. The interest at the Colorado pro day tells us they are enamored with Hunter.
Again Sanders tumbles further and they are still pushing Sanders at 21. I don't buy it, and I they can keep what they are selling. (crap) The NFL gang is split on this but leaning towards Sanders. Bucky Brooks and Baldinger is animant that Sanders go to Pittsburgh whereas Charles Davis does not mock Sanders to Pittsburgh. DJ and Zierline also jump on the Sanders at 21 shit wagon. BARF.

1. I'm not high on Kyle McCord I've seen this dude. He's a moper and not a big team guy. I like 6'4" Will Howard more. Same size as Josh Allen and has like 24 rushing TDs. His Gruden QB camp was cool. Especially if he's 3rd or 4th Rd. Kid's a winner.
2. Either Buckeye back will help. Talking Henderson or Judkins.
3. Absolutely love trading down in 1st to pick up a 2nd. I hope Shaky Shadeur is there at 21 and we let some other team drink the Kool aid.

I'm not opposed to trading George Pickens who's in his final year of rookie deal. And he unfollowed the Steelers for whatever that means. Draft a new WR, rookie deal.

watching sanders pro day amazes me how he managed to complete 74% of his passes, cant even name another receiver other than hunter, and his line was trash, but, still not interested, especially in the 1st.

trading Pickens…. We saw what happened last year with only 1 viable wr, and I think our QB room is weaker this year currently. I say hang onto Pickens, hope he balls out coming into a contract year, and if he moves on, hopefully we get a good compensation pick for the contract he signs. I think the compensation pick is going to be close to equal to what we’re going to get trading him this year. Plus if he balls out, franchise him and you have him for the following year. Definitely wouldn’t give him a long term deal.
