Back in the 80's the Steelers had a guard, Terry Long, was 5-11'" 280 lbs. but a really good player who played 8 seasons for Chuck Noll. He had a paratrooper backround and as a kid, help injured animals. CTE caused him great mental breakdowns and he tested positive for steroids in 1991 and then retired when Chuck Noll stepped down. Sadly he drank Anti freeze in 2005, ending his life.
I convinced myself to grab him with the earliest of these 3 picks and that maybe I should have had him above Evans who was on the shortlist last pick, for the Eagles anyways.
As it should, because the other side is sticking with its 45 minute clock as long as we can, and will not be doing UDFAs.
30 has worked great for us over the years. People that miss usually are missing altogether after we've been ahead for hours.
I like 45 way better and will stick with it in the Last Chance Mock as long as possible. The real draft is 9 days away. As long as we're done by the weekend, 45 stays.
I'm not complaining. I'm just saying 45 has led to long delays for us often when we used it and we've settled on 30. I'm surprised it worked so well with new faces too. Either is much better than 1 hour after the first round.
I feel like I’ve been saying since like the 3rd year we did this, the time frames aren’t as important as finding the right 20-32 participants. If the group is good, the time frames will work.
Can honestly say I still haven’t really scouted this guy. BowsersBroncos took him earlier in the other one. I actually thought he was gone.
