I don’t know why I hear this over and over. Howard is a very mobile QB. Just because he tripped over his own feet on national TV people think he isn’t mobile, but he really is.
I'm hearing a bunch of Shough to Seattle but he's literally 2 years younger than Darnold. It doesn't preclude them from taking him but it's interesting.
to be fair, Shough was close, he went 85th. The bigger surprise was Howard going 65 he went 102 last time. I considered a RB but....... Steelers need for QB outweighed the RB, but the two were ranked similarly. Also surprised Noel went ahead of Washington, but this is why we have these exercises, makes you go back to your notes and see if you missed anything.
I think he is more of a slider, doesn't have the 4.6 speed Shough has, then again not many QB ran at the combine or their pro day. Cannot knock Howard for his success but Ohio State talent level is two steps ahead of Louisville. I think we can agree that QB2 to QB7 nobody knows how they will do in the NFL. Derek Carr just hurt his shoulder, this may force The Saints to pull the trigger on Sanders. I just think Carter or Hunter are just too blue chip to pass on when Sanders is a boom or bust. They can come back at 33 or like Lyman did, come back for QB at 67 and the Giants had the same strategy at 65.
I’m actually handling the Saints in the other mock. I was acting as if Carr would get his shot, heard that news yesterday. I had 91 & 112. Still spent 91 on Chris Paul. Love his instincts. Now I’m otc at 112. Options are Howard, Ewers, and I guess McCord/Gabriel. They have interviewed Ewers multiple times. But I’m taking Howard I think. Just don’t like the other guys. I think Howard, in the right situation can lead a team. Let’s hope Kellen Moore is a good head coach
