This is a funny phenomenon I notice a lot, and have been guilty of myself, over the years. Doing multiple mocks, kinda like doing multiple sims. Sometimes you mix it up, just to see how it feels. Imagine if your job security rested on being correct.
I mix it up as far as if I mix it up or not lol. Sometimes I'll go different the first time so I can hide my intentions for the last mock if I run the same teams. I'm not gonna not take someone just because I want to be different unless I see a viable different path I like as much or want to experiment with.

I hear you. Colts top 3 last mock included DT / TE So far this one DE / TE I'm a bit behind on my scouting this year, so it might be a valid excuse for why I change things up. Mason Taylor really is a great 2nd round target for Colts IRL, if they don't end up going Warren or Loveland round 1. Any of these is okay. I just love the idea of a game-wrecking DE/DT in round 1 in a strong year. There's plenty of boom or bust with a few of the Edge guys. But assuming we get it right, it's enticing.

If the Eagles trade back a bit in the 1st (I think if they get a guy they got a 1st rd grade on they stand pat) I think Taylor's a possible target. I've seen him mocked to them in the 2nd. He was on my short list. It's many positions long and possibly not the top TE there so don't look into it too much lol.
I usually do two different "what if" scenarios if I have the same team twice, or when Dimitroff was here I'd imitate his style in one and use my own style (much more BPA) in the other. Sometimes things will fall into place and I end up with one or two of the same players, but usually not. In this case, Conerly is my BPA. He's not an immediate need at all with Matthews, McGary, Norton and Wilkinson all on the roster already. But giving him a year to develop will certainly help him - he's only 21 and needs to add a little more strength before he steps into a starting role. I had a three name list ready for this pick. Conerly was #1. The other two were roughly equal. Your pick (Mason Taylor) was one of them. I went CB in the first mock. The real team has just recently resigned Dee Alford to add depth at that position. He was a RFA who wasn't tendered. He was outstanding in Ryan Nielsen's system and got put into a starting role under Jimmy Lake but "struggled" (that's being kind). I see Clark Phillips and Mike Hughes joining A.J. Terrell as the top three. Alford goes back to providing depth in rotation, and I really want to see what Natrone Brooks can do as a developing prospect. Mike Ford is back as well but he's really for special teams purposes only.
Not so coincidentally perhaps is that that's what they did with Dallas Goedert. They traded back with the ravens when they took Lamar Jackson and got a mid pick and a future 2nd. They then traded just ahead to of the Cowboys using a later pick to snipe them. Looking back at the history of that Lamar Trade it was really win-win.
I might not be able to update the board well in about an hour. I'm going out to Jeff's (Jaguars) and I'm not used to updating it on my phone. If RT can't do it is anyone else gonna be around enough to do it?
