In all seriousness you could say no Brown/Orange team or Black/Silver team if you don't accept the trophy.

So much for people saying they weren't going to watch it and it will be low viewership.
Do you think Trump is going to say it was because of him?

Its always hyped and there was no competition on a Sunday night, and it is the SB, Im not surprised, and it probably was a big letdown for a record number of viewers also.

Refs forgot their job after the 1st drive OPI outside of not calling the Chiefs for holding (like in the endzone). Maybe it would have been more exciting for everyone. BTW I was still nervous until late in the 3rd because my brother is a Falcons fan.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire didn’t play much in 2024, but he’ll get a chance to make the Saints in 2025.

The Saints announced today that they have re-signed Edwards-Helaire, a running back who joined them late last year, to a one-year contract.

A.J. Brown brings Lombardi Trophy to hospital to visit 10-year-old plane crash victim

Ten-year-old Andre Howard III has been at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia since debris from the January 31 plane crash struck his family’s car. Andre needed emergency brain surgery and is such a big Eagles fan that his family said his first question after waking up was whether he had missed the Super Bowl.

He hadn’t, and after he watched the Eagles win the Super Bowl from his hospital room, he received a special surprise from Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, who paid him a visit and brought the Lombardi Trophy with him.

Andre’s mother posted pictures of Brown’s visit in a social media message.

“Dear AJ Brown, Thank you,” Andre’s mother wrote. “Thank you for being a man of your word. By great surprise on this day my son was beyond grateful to meet you. Caught us all by surprise.”

Andre’s parents said that Andre’s immediate response when debris from the crash started hitting their car was to cover up his little sister. Brown posted a picture of Andre and called him, “My hero.” The feeling is mutual.

Stories like this are very refreshing... we need more of the good news stuff and less BS.

The Miami Dolphins have released running back Raheem Mostert after three seasons with the team.

The Dolphins announced Mostert's release Friday along with cornerback Kendall Fuller and tight end Durham Smythe.

Mostert signed with the Dolphins in 2022 and made the Pro Bowl after rushing for a career-high 1,012 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2023. The undrafted running back led the NFL with 21 total touchdowns during his Pro Bowl season.

"Looks like my client Raheem Mostert will be playing elsewhere next season," Mostert's agent, Brett Tessler, wrote earlier Friday on X. "Very thankful for his time with the Miami Dolphins, and this gives them a chance to get younger and gives him a chance to pursue a ring elsewhere."

Mostert, 32, closes his tenure in Miami with 2,181 rushing yards and 28 total touchdowns.

His release leaves the Dolphins with De'Von Achane and 2024 fourth-round pick Jaylen Wright manning their backfield.

I've gone into detail before in tracing the tree that resulted in the Weeden and Manziel picks. Horrid scouting / GM work on those. But I always thought the way they handled it in 2007 was brilliant, and even though Brady Quinn didn't pan out I still like what they did in that first round.

JaMarcus Russell was the #1 overall pick that year, and Quinn was the cover boy for BSPN The Magazine's draft issue. Cleveland had the #3 overall pick. Instead of rushing to take Quinn, they took Joe Thomas at #3 and still managed to get Quinn as the next QB off the board at #22.

A bit of irony is that the pick they started with in the trade was the #36. Dallas then flipped that pick over to the Eagles when they traded up themselves shortly after getting it from Cleveland. The Eagles ultimately used it to take the next QB off the board after Quinn... Kevin Kolb.

Not exactly a banner year for QBs - the rest of the class was John Beck, Drew Stanton, Trent Edwards, Isaiah Stanback, Jeff Rowe, Troy Smith, Jordan Palmer and Tyler Thigpen. That's a cool hand...

And if they didn't make the trade? The 2008 pick they gave up was the #22. Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco were already gone. The next QBs off the board were second rounders Brian Brohm and Chad Henne.

So Cleveland got Joe Thomas, took a shot on the #2 QB in that draft, and the damage from the trade was they missed out on their chance to draft the mighty Brian Brohm. I think they actually got it right that year.
