Free agency in the offseason will have an open window that begins on February 11th at 12am and ends on April 18th at 11:59pm (no new opening bids).

All remaining open bids will continue to be processed under normal rules until closed out. Any bids that have not been successfully closed will remain open for as long as is necessary to close them out.

Owners may make bids on any number of players, up to their open availability on their roster - meaning, if you have 11 open bench spots you may bid on up to 11 players. If any owner makes an offer to a player and no one else counters that offer the owner CANNOT RESCIND THE OFFER SHEET. Once offers are made they can only be closed out by the contract being signed by the player. Bids remain open for a window that comprises of the following days operational hours, which are from 8am to 11:59pm, Eastern Standard time. If no other bid has been received, the player signs the highest bid.

    EXAMPLE 1:
Team A bids on WR Jon Smith of the Frankfurt Galaxy on Monday at 1pm. No other contract offers are made to Jon Smith by Tuesday night, 11:59pm. Jon Smith signs with Team A.

    EXAMPLE 2:
Team A bids on QB Bob Robertson of the Barcelona Dragons on Monday at 1pm. Team B makes a higher bid on QB Bob Robertson of the Barcelona Dragons on Tuesday at 11pm. Team A makes a higher bid on QB Bob Robertson of the Barcelona Dragons on Wednesday at 9am. On Thursday at 11:59pm, after receiving no new offers, QB Bob Robertson of the Barcelona Dragons signs with team A.

Highest bids are determined by a combination of yearly salary and length of contract. A contract offer of two years is worth more than a one-year salary offer. A 3-year contract offer is worth than a 2-year contract offer and would then also be worth more than a 1-year contract offer. In the event that two bids are worth an equal amount, the deal with the most years is considered the highest offer. 3 years is the longest available contract for managers to offer.

All players that are not currently signed are eligible for free agency (excluding the incoming rookie class).

Owners may sign any number of players until they have filled the current offseason roster maximum of 35.

All bids on contract with a price tag of $4,999,000 or less must have each additional increase be no less than 1 year or $100,000.

All bids on contracts with a price tag of $5,000,000 or more must have each additional increase be no less than 1 year or $500,000.

    EXAMPLE 1:
Team A makes an offer to QB Joe Doesitall of the Stuttgart Surge for 1 year at $1,000,000. In order to beat Team A's offer, Team B would need to make an offer of either 2 or 3 years for the same $1,000,000 or offer 1 or more years for at least $1,100,000.

    EXAMPLE 2:
Team A makes an offer to RB Polka Fumbleski of the Wroclaw Panthers for 1 year at $5,000,000. In order for Team B to have a better offer tabled, they would need to either offer 2 or 3 years for the same $5,000,000 or offer 1 or more years for at least $5,500,000.

Quick tip to stay organized and ahead of your own bids -

Set a daily repeating reminder on your phone for a time of day that you will have at least 15 minutes to check and see if your bid is still the highest offer. It's the easiest way to make sure you are not forgetting to stay on top of your own business.

Bids should be made in a common format for everyone to easily understand:

    YOUR TEAM NAME
Position, Player Name - Team: Money - Years

    EXAMPLE:

    WOLVES
    RB, Bo Jackson - OAK: $10,000,000 - 3
