So it's the same as being 'born with a silver spoon in your mouth'?

I wonder how much money she has stashed away in that house? Bohemians aren't going to leave all their money in the bank, and even though she might have a safe in her house in Des Plaines, she thinks she's smart enough not to put it all in that safe. Maybe it's time I flip a house if and when it comes on the market because you know it will be way undervalued because it probably hasn't been updated since it was built. At the very least I can attend an open house. ;)

Are you saying she wasn’t a charitable person? Because as far as Billionaires go you could find a lot worse. Yea she lucked into being born to the father of American football but let’s not get her confused with Paris Hilton. She got the team when her brother died. What did she finagle? She was a nice old lady that inherited a Football team that she let her Sons run.

The saying is you were born on third base and you think you hit a triple. So pretending you accomplished something that you didn’t. Basically. Or something.

Sorry to hear about Dick Jauron. 2001 was, to that point, the most exciting season of my life.

Because you probably don't know George doesn't just take over his mother's share, he is just the chairman. The shares are split amongst the family already, but Virginia only owned 30% herself, but controlled the voting rights to 80% of the Bears (basically all the McCaskey votes).

If this article is accurate: McCaskey’s passing turns focus to Bears ownership succession plans - the NFL lowered the amount for a single owner to be 1%, but the family has to own 30% and have done so for 10 years. Ownership will depend on how many in the family want to cash out, but Virginia's will likely left some succession plan, we just don't know what it is.

It's been well documented how she fought tooth and nail to ensure Mugs family inherited nothing. I'm sure as a person to another person she was nice and harmless and treated people well. But everything that's happened under her watch is ultimately her fault.

And the issue with the Soldier Field renovation as that's now been 25 years since the city agreed to that and started putting tax payers on the hook. Remember Michael was threatening to move the team to Gary or some other god foresaken place until the city ponied up. Classic entitled ownership behavior, particularly at a time (late 90s) when the team was horrible.

Well the “old hag” just got a moment of silence at the fucking Super Bowl. So that’s something.
