That is an interception or incomplete. Worthy didn't secure it until after it hit the ground. All he did was have his hand press the ball against the defender's arm. It then hits the ground and even then it appears that it's Buffalo ball when the play should be about dead. You can't have simultaneous possession going to the offense if one didn't legally catch it. At best you could say it was incomplete for both when it hit the ground (I think it was an INT though). And if you say "well Buffalo completed the catch and then KC took it and gets priority as the offense" well that isn't true either. It would be an INT first and then both holding it would keep possession with the first to establish possession. Imagine intercepting a ball, going down the field and then when you are tackled the RB comes and hugs the ball as you go down and gets possession despite you not ever releasing the ball. It wouldn't happen. It would stay with the original defender. Yes it would have still been Chiefs ball on a penalty but is that going to be a TD? Never mind the 4th down call where the ref without a few runs on to mark it short and overrule the guy that had the better view.
Not. Even. Close. The receivers hands were on the wrong side of the ball for one thing lol. And i didnt even get to the 4th & 1 play either. Which, that could've been a first on the 3rd down play. It was def a first on 4th down. One judge was running in on the first down mark, it was the guy from the other side, the side where he couldn't even see the ball hilariously, who apparently over-ruled. That should've been 1st down at the Chiefs 40, in the 4th Q of a game the Bills were already leading. Legit chance of a 2 score lead there. I've never been a fan of conspiracy theories, and i dont claim there's some elaborate fully rigged scheme going on here either. But there is something going on, anyone denying this is being wilfully ignorant. Its happening virtually every week and everytime it happens it does so for the Chiefs. Not their opponents, the Chiefs. Simple logic and the law of averages tells us this is not legit. Side note: I know social media is hardly a reliable barometer, but i've been pretty amazed at the scale of negatives and calls of its rigged after this game. I've never seen anything like this. There are even calls to boycott the SB! Whatever's going on, the league is seriously harming its own brand right now. I'll be very interested to see that ratings for this SB.
Just a hunch on my part, Im no expert by any stretch, but it seems to me there is a possibility that the longer this wears on, there may exist a psychological factor getting involved in the Chiefs opponents and the Refs heads that are assigned to these big Chiefs games. Maybe a psychological vindictiveness or causing the Refs to be defensive minded. I swear, I dont know if im kidding or maybe on to something (or just on something). Somebody que the Rod Serling Twilight zone music.
