What do you think about Jalen Royals? He had an injury in October which kept him out the rest of this season, but is a good route runner and good YAC receiver. Which is what we need.

Loving the game in the snow Really old school shit . Lots of injuries guys are dropping like flies. If the Eagles hold on I
Might lean towards Washington they look healthier

Royals is solid, but I worry about the potential lack of competition and how he reacts to playing against NFL DBs.

That I’m hopeful for. Potential 2nd round target.

I’m, personally, comfortable with Pickens, Austin, Jefferson, and Wilson at WR next year.

I think DL will be the pick in round 1. There are 6 players with first round grades and Pittsburgh needs to be able to stop the Run. I think you have to also include Nic Scourton, borderline DT5, but wicked productive.
Round 2 could be WR, but could also be CB or OL. Dan Moore Jr. James Daniels are gone. It could also be DL if Ebuka or Burden make it to 21, which I am not expecting.
A guy moving up boards is Isiah Bond's teammate, Matthew Golden. he looked a lot sharper and healthier in the Semi Final.
Oh and Fuck Ohio State, never liked them. Not a ND fan but it was nice to see The Bus as the honorary captain.
I think a team will reach for a QB that doesn't have a first round grade, and OTs are going to fly off the board. If he makes it to 52, Wyatt Milum might be the pick, paring him up with Zach Frazier. Some sites have him ranked in the teens, others have him low 30's to 50's.

It wouldn’t hurt to get that all pro guard too, when our OL was truly good it’s because we had a really powerful center guard combo at least.

Which one, Milum is an OT. Booker and Jackson will go late first early second, Then mid second Membou and Savaiinaea after that. Then the talent drops to mid third to day 3.
Like I mentioned before don't sleep on the guy out of William & Mary, Charles Grant, Tomlin's alma matta. He played LT in college, not sure of his arm length, combine and Senior Bowl will tell us more. You can never have enough OL guys who can play OT and OG, they get a hat on Sundays.

2025 NFL User Mock Draft #5025726 | NFL Mock Draft Database

The last time the Steelers D dominated the NFL, Casey Hampton was in the Middle. Also speed kills, got a few lightning in a bottle players.

    21. Kenneth Grant DT1 Michigan
    52. Matthew Golden WR Texas
    83. Emery Jones OT LSU
    121. Dylan Sampson RB Tenn
    170.* Tyler Baron OLB Miami
    178.* Jonah Monehim IOL USC
    229. Demetrius Knight LB S.Carolina
    230. Jason Marshall CB Florida
    246. Jimmy Horn Jr. WR Colorado

*Traded back from 162 and picked up 170 and 178

Didn't pull the trigger on Daylan Everette at 83. I thought OT was a better value.

Missed out on RB, but no way could I pass up Shemar Turner at 122, moved back for Grant, moved up for Golden. New guy in my mocks, Nick Nash. Keep an eye on him, really good route runner, good speed and length. Competition is a question mark, but I like what I read. I did not see him play in 2024. Could not pass on Dumas-Johnson he is a thumper and versatile. Double dipped on CB, Donte Jackson is a UFA and not the answer. Another year with Trice hoping he develops, I was willing to admit the glass could be half full. Besides one of these cats gotta be better than Pierre and Sutton.

I don’t understand what this team is doing, I thought for sure that the DC and OL coaches would’ve been fired by now!! So their going to run it back with the same shit and end up with the same results.

steeler way…. I’m not surprised they aren’t getting rid of Smith, every offensive coordinator they’ve had, they’ve given at least 3 years to, I was really hoping the Jets would have been stupid enough to select him as they’re head coach, but alas, even they aren’t that dumb. We need to see growth from our line, there appears to be so much potential that just needs to be tapped, definitely agree, I don’t think our line coach is the answer.

on the defensive side, here’s Teryl Austin record: 2022-2024 29-22-0 56.9% 0-2 in the playoffs, in his 3 years. The Steelers spent $137,229,121 on the defenses, compared to only $74,371,802 on the offense. That’s $20 million more than the next highest team and are scheduled to spend $177,469,207 in 2025. Oh, and they finished ranked 12th for team defense. They ranked a paltry 25th in passing defense. You would have thought we definitely would have gotten more out of our defense than that. Unfortunately, we lived off the turnover while we were winning and once that stopped, so did our wins. On the projected 2025 salary cap, the Steelers spending by group, is in the top 4, except for CB.

    A
Frustrating to say the least. Cannot expect different results with the same recipe. And I agree, no imagination in my eyes and players not reaching potential. Broderick Jones doesn't suck, young kid 23 years old, he needs coaching up. You have the nucleus of 4 young guys in the last two drafts, get something different than Pat Meyers to coach them. I doubt he is there at 52 but Josh Conerly makes a ton of sense, and kick Fantanu or Jones inside to Guard once Seamalu moves on. Or draft a stud OG, this league is won and lost in the trenches. I am not as high on Kenneth Grant as others, but the more you read up and watch tape he is what the D Line needs. A space eater who can push the pocket and tie up 2 blockers. We are back to the age old adage, if they have a first round grade, then it doesn't matter if they go 15 or 31. What player helps this team the most?

So I got a list of 10 guys that would be possible picks for Pittsburgh at 21.

Luther Burden- top 15 player, only 3 WR with a first round grade so expect teams to snap them up quickly.
Nic Scourton- top 15 player, 6-4 280, huge upside. But they have tried Loudermilk and DeMarvin Leal both misses trying to find Cam's replacement.
Kenneth Grant Mountain of a man, will he eat his way out of shape once he gets his first paycheck, these are why the interviews matter.
Will Johnson - the injury could push him back. The one team who valued drafting shutdown CBs was Philly, they are playing tomorrow.
Ben Morrison- see above, talented guy graded below Johnson.
Josh Simmons would they really go OT 3 years in a row, that is the million dollar question. I think he is the 3-4th OT off the board as teams look to build up their lines.
Walter Nolen he has traits you cannot coach, but is he big enough to man the middle or have the length to play outside.
Derek Harmon- has the size to play inside and the length to kick outside.
Jahade Brown- might be the most ready to start CB not named Travis Hunter
Emeka Egbuka as some have mentioned not even the best WR on Ohio State. Tomlin will fall in love with this kid, me thinks he is gone. I do like the fact he is a willing blocker.

Wild cards: Shavon Revel injury really shelved him in 2024, level of competition to consider.
Tyler Warren. One rule of thumb is draft the best player at his position but not a need. Buffalo is playing tomorrow, Dalton Knox and Dalton Kincaid really help Josh Allen.
Tyler Booker. See above, best at his position, not a need. Buffalo took O'Cyrus Torrence a few drafts ago, remember him, dude is pancaking people.

Who else did I miss? Opinions welcome.

I feel like Tre Harris has to be in play along side Egbuka. Pickens is entering a contract year, barring an extension. I also wouldn’t be surprised if safety was in play as well.
