Hey guys,

So, this has been a weird season for me. I know that I dropped the ball on the contest in the last 3 series. I wasn't keeping up very well at all. @SoCalSaint would not have missed making his picks if I had been on my game and checking the group more actively and often. I'm really sorry about that. I caught pneumonia from my grandson on Nov. 21st which then mutated to Respiratory Syncytial Virus and here I am 6 weeks later getting worse. I alternate between throwing up and blacking out when I cough. I've had to cancel a ton of my yoga and Tai Chi classes because of this.

Plus, the worst thing in the world happened, my puppy got killed on Dec. 21st on our road. I just haven't really had the energy or inspiration to keep up with the contest.

I apologize for this. I have never done a half-ass job of anything in my life but there's always a first time for everything.

Our numbers have dropped radically, and I believe that is also due to my lack of participation of late. I'm not going to run the contest to the Superbowl this season and instead, I will start fresh for the 2025 NFL season.

They'll just continue making picks on their own and eventually fistfight, be eliminated one by one, and maybe claim the ring, whether Lord of the Flies style, or Mordor, or some other metaphor that probably doesn't work...

Sorry to hear about your puppy. The 4-legged friends are superior to the two-legged kind. Even a 3-legged dog is better than most bipedal folks.

Take care of yourself and don't be worried with any of this.

If the morons involved in this can't figure out how to add up their own scores after years of bitching at you to correct mistakes...
