Seahawks rule Kenneth Walker III out for Thursday night The Seahawks won’t have running back Kenneth Walker III on Thursday night. The team announced that Walker has been ruled out for their game against the Bears because of an ankle injury. Walker returned to the lineup last Sunday after missing two games with a calf injury, but was knocked out of Seattle’s loss to the Vikings with his new ailment. Zach Charbonnet is set to be the lead back against Chicago. He played sparingly against Minnesota, but had four touchdowns in the previous three games. PFT
Jackson ran for 87 yards to pass Michael Vick and become the NFL’s all-time rushing leader among quarterbacks. Those running stats included a 48-yard touchdown and Jackson was also 10-of-15 for 168 yards and two touchdowns through the air. Jackson now has 3,955 passing yards and 852 rushing yards for the year and another big game in the regular season finale should make for a very interesting choice between him and Josh Allen for MVP voters. The Chiefs are going to be the first team to threepeat. With Swift, the refs and Mahomes how can they fail. Look the NFL is reaping in boat loads of money because of swifties tuning in because of Kelce and her. It’s a business first and foremost and having Swift at the SB is a cash cow. I can see them winning the next 3-4 SBs just to line the owners pockets with more money. We the smoas that watch the game because we enjoy football be dammed because they making money.
What evidence is there of Taylor Swift making the NFL money? The ones that did turn it over to the Chiefs game early on to catch a glimpse of her, have moved on. Swift is the most influential person of her generation, I'm not taking anything away from her, but to say that she is a cash cow for the NFL and Chiefs at the Super Bowl is quite a stretch...Now, if because of her relationship, she becomes the entertainment for the Super Bowl, we can have another conversation. I can almost guarantee, she will not give a cameo appearance based on the fact she is already there watching her boyfriend. They could sure use the boost though... Kendrick Lamar is getting a little desperate imho. I don't think it is going to live up to some of the shows of years past...
Bears and Seahawks combined for 10 sacks, 13 punts, 444 yards and nine points. The Seahawks won 6-3 in one of the worst games in the NFL this season. Seattle moved to 9-7 in ending a two-game losing streak, and Chicago fell to 4-12 with a 10th consecutive loss. Chicago had 179 yards, and Williams took seven sacks, including two by Leonard Williams. Caleb Williams now has taken 67 sacks, which is nine short of David Carr’s NFL record for sacks in a season. Never got round to replying to this. I hope like hell this doesnt happen but its got Bears written all over it.
Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was excellent today in New England, completing 26 of 38 passes for 281 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions. The loss drops the Patriots to 3-13, and keeps them in contention for the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Source: 49ers RB Isaac Guerendo expected to return vs. Lions SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- After missing last week because of a hamstring injury, San Francisco 49ers running back Isaac Guerendo is expected to return Monday night against the Detroit Lions, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. After a slew of injuries at running back that has put Christian McCaffrey (knee), Elijah Mitchell (hamstring) and Jordan Mason (ankle) on injured reserve, Guerendo stepped into the starting role against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 8. Guerendo rushed for 135 yards on 31 carries over those two weeks but came out of the loss against the Los Angeles Rams with a hamstring issue in addition to a foot sprain. With Guerendo out last week, the Niners started Patrick Taylor Jr. against the Miami Dolphins. Taylor had eight carries for 24 yards and one catch for 1 yard in that game. With Guerendo's expected return, the Niners will have Taylor and Israel Abanikanda available as backups, with Ke'Shawn Vaughn available to be called up from the practice squad. ESPN
