I just can't believe the clock management at the end of that game. Call timeout. If you complete a ten yard pass, then spike it. Wow.
What in hell was that it was like a bunch chickens with there heads cut-off JUST FREAKIN̈G AMAZING!!!!!!
I'm not saying I agree with not taking a timeout with 30 seconds left BUT I don't completely blame the coaches for not calling it when it looked like Caleb Williams was about to snap it. O was set at 10 secs. Snap came at 6 seconds. He needed to save just 1 second or throw short.
I should have trusted my gut on Khan. They are going to wait until the offseason, where they may clean house or keep the GM just to get Belichick if Bill will come with that combo.
Bill won't be the hire there. But I think there is going to be a mass firing. This could be an offseason where we see a kind of 'arms race' for coaching because of how the potential firings are shaping up. Should be interesting...
The entire sports world and even the Bears players think Eberflus screwed up, so after the game in the post game press conference, he was asked if that was the right call... here's his answer; “I like what we did there,” Eberflus said when asked how he should have handled the closing seconds of the game. “I think we handled it the right way.” He's absolutely clueless.
Has anyone heard that the Washington (Redskins) are going back to the old logo?? Now all we have to do is get the nickname back!! C'mon. We won the the election. Lets kick some ass!!
He did mention his thought process to get some yards, call the timeout and kick the field goal. He didn't want to call a timeout and then rush his unit out with 15 seconds, especially with their struggles lately. Caleb needed to snap that. He clearly blames the coach but he sounded like he wanted to and didn't want to blame him directly but did a bad job by not blaming himself. That isn't a good look for a leader that messed up.
I cant blame a rookie, no way is this on Williams... in my opinion its clearly on Eburflus. Calab is a baller, he looked downfield, saw nothing initially, then let it rip, but it was time consuming, waaaaayyy too time consuming. I dont believe personally that leaving a play on the QB when he is a rookie is strategically smart. Designed plays with a TO in your pocket should have been front and center.
