I almost wish we didn’t get the second 2 point pointer. We would have had to throw a Hail Mary on the last play of regulation and would rather the game ended on that regardless of how that play went.

And Brown has shown nothing that says we should keep him either. Clean the coaching house, ESPECIALLY THE OLINE COACH, and we have a chance to turn things around.

Honestly, Sweat should've won this game. In that position it should be a regulation strip sack and you have the ball at the 20 leading to a chip shot FG.

He seemed to go for the punch instead of the classic tomahawk chop. I dont know why he did that but either way he failed to finish the job there.

The pass rush was pathetic again for the second straight week.

He's def an upgrade on Waldron, but thats a laughably low bar. I didnt hate his game overall, it was pretty neutral imo. The b2b toss plays which led to a 3 and out was Waldron bad. Personally i dont call the DJ pass when the O seemed in such rhythm(tho there sdhould been PI on that play).

He def keeps the job all season, not least cos of the mentality he's bringing. But im looking bigger this offseason if its me.

I rewound just to watch DDP's rant, and he's on point today. Stopped watching after that, I don't care once the 3rd guy comes in.

If it wasn't a Monday night, I'd get out there to see you, but we're a one car household. You'll be about 15-20 minutes north of me.

There are fucking fans on social media calling for him to be the HC and comparing him to Tomlin.

Let's focus on a positive today.

    Caleb Williams vs the blitz

He's better vs the blitz than he is when we max protect against no blitz.

But we have our QB. I know it and I could never say that with Fields. The entire offseason should be focused on revamping the entire OL. Nothing else matters.

The only thing he has in common with Tomlin is skin color. I will say IF they want him to be the HC, then Fire Flus today and give him 6 games to see how he does as an interim.

You do realise you're taking a shot at me for saying something that Sweat himself realised immediately, haha? He knew he'd missed a major opportunity there and was visibly angry with himself. He knew it, hell even the announcers knew it. So everyone but you then lol?

    Fucking clueless.

I mean there's no question, zero, that he has more of a HC aura and is a better communicator than the current HC. Normally i'd say hell yeah give him 6games. He cannot possibly be worse than Flush.

Only concern is what if he was actually pretty good. Heck not even that, just halfway decent. I dont trust these idiots not to give him the job. Look at the Raiders now. Antonio Pierce prob looks a lot less clever a hire than he did at the end of last season.

Better to just let it play out. Keep it as simple as possible and obvious as possible to these fuckbrains.

I would rather him spend his time focusing on developing Caleb instead of everything else that goes with the position of head coach. They put this kid behind the 8 ball with Waldo as it is, I'm content to watch Caleb move forward, and the Uberflush shitshow implode week after week.

Right, a moldy bag of potato chips has a better aura. But to your point, yeah, he could convince them in 6 games that maybe they could cheap out and keep him.

It doesn't matter though, this team is not firing a coach midseason no matter what.

I hate to piss on the parade already, but the bears have already won too many games to get the best LT in the draft, Kelvin Banks from Texas. Dude's ceiling is 'multi-time all pro' per draftbuzz and BR, and while people liberally throw around the comp of 'Trent Williams' (minus the mean streak), he's legit. Probably need to finish with a top 5 pick and need 1-3 QBs to really shine come the underwear olympics/predraft nonsense to have a snowball's chance in hell, because besides Travis Hunter, the 2-way Colorado star who probably goes #1, and the corner from Michigan, Banks is probably prospect #2/3, wouldn't shock me if #1, depending on your persuasion.

The next best OT has footwork issues, short arms, an struggles against speed edge rushers. Don't think the size queen GM Poles takes that in the kid from LSU.

The best OG has some weight problems. He's been as heavy as 356 lbs and as light as 325 this season. Not looking for a reason to dislike a guy, but when you take the totality of the player, Tyler Booker has more questions the more I look at him.

Parker Brailsford, the assumed best Center, has fallen a bit because scouts only think he's good for McVay/Shanahan scheme, but assuming people get fired, will the bears be running that a year from now?

There are 2 guys kind of rising (got my eye on the West Virginia LT Wade Milium--he may find himself as a top 10 pick), but then again; this is the time of year pundits/provocateurs intentionally look for contrarian opinions to 'shake up' talking about the draft. It's part of keeping the business fresh. It really takes off in late January/early Feb.

Otherwise--it looks like you'll need to buy some guys. KC is in a cap crunch and its time to pay Trey Smith. Now since they're not the bears, they can probably move money around and do some cap magic the bears can seemingly never do to keep him, but he's the creme de la creme, meaning if KC has other priorities--send the Brinks truck to his house. The alternative is finding a guy like the Steelers in James Daniels, or the Commies just did with Nick Allegretti--find a guy who's not going to stay with the team that drafted him and strike gold on a reclamation contract. Yes, I know for the Steelers getting their best IOL from us, meanwhile we saw Poles grab the young kid Tennessee couldn't wait to say 'goodbye' to, and now he's no longer on the roster.
