I will…. It’s still football. I was up way past my bedtime watching Utah shit down their legs in the final minutes against BYU.

If you schedule it, they will watch.

I do like the way Rich calls a game. My favorite line from him so far during these international games is - "forward progress had him losing a few yards", that hurt my head.

The worst part of these early Europe games is listening to Rich Eisen play out his NFL announcer fantasy.

I'm definitely a critic of Jones...

But Daboll can't keep any kind of coherent flow with this offense. They have adequate talent to play a brand of football that limits turnover possibilities and creates opportunities for skill position players to gain yardage in space.

I know @xinik might not be happy with this opinion - It's time to blow it up and start with a new HC and new QB.

Im not real sure Daboll has control of the locker room, but thats speculation on my part mostly, but i have heard from time to time that its just not a good environment.

Im not really a guy who knocks anybody, but Jones had opportunities to hit wide open receivers and appeared to be looking right at them and chose to not throw it, especially on a few plays that Nabers was just completely wide-open. On some throws to an open receiver, his pass sailed WAY over the target, especially on roll-outs, so its either mechanical or some sort of a timid approach, I dont know, but it was odd to see him miss so badly. He looks like he's playing with an 'I cant make a mistake' approach and thats not cool, he needs to play confident.

Jonny Newton takes the bait to jump offside and end the game for the Commanders. And thats why Jerry Glanville hated playing rookies. They just cant help themselves when it comes to doing dumb things.

The cowboys have fallen off the face of the earth. Dam it’s embarrassing to have lost to that sorry ass team. That’s why Wilson is now the Steelers starter.

    Some random thoughts...

My gut is telling me not to buy into Philly, but their schedule is going to see them skating into the playoffs. They feel like a team that, if matched up against a good offense, will be a quick post-season exit.

Speaking of favorable schedules in the NFC East - The Commanders should also make a playoff appearance, and if I was forced to pick between Philly or Washington as to which might advance, I'm taking the Commanders. However, I reserve the right to have my mind changed after week 16...

Similar to Philly, my gut instinct on the Packers is that they are going to be an early playoff exit. However, their path to the post-season doesn't feel as comfortable as the Eagles, so they could be one of the first Wildcard teams to be eliminated.

I had the Bears season in the inverse, with the better football coming as the season passed the halfway point. Still a chance for it, but the 3-game skid could be back breaking (could easily be 4 by the end of the day) and Waldron is simply a scapegoat for the rot from the head coach.

The trio of receivers are not performing like they should and Kmet is constantly a by-product in the offense. Williams is taking heat for shit that is out of his control, the offensive line is exactly what we knew it would be going into this season, and I cannot understand what it is they are trying to do on the ground. They have some parts to work with, specifically on the defense, that can become franchise foundation players, but they better have a plan going into the offseason that includes a new head coach (and staff), upgrades at OL/WR/IDL and as many bits and pieces they can buy at depth to help the new staff hit the ground running.

Poles has some fucking work to do, and maybe he's not the one to get the job done.

The Lions are still my NFC pick.

The Ravens are still my AFC pick.

San Francisco is showing some cracks that I'm not sure can be easily rectified down the stretch. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the offseason that Lynch and Shanahan make some sizeable personnel changes with an eye on the future, which will likely be enveloped by an eye-popping sum for Brock Purdy. Should be plenty to talk about with that situation this offseason...

Are the Rams cooked? Life after Stafford has to be the focal point this offseason.

And life after Geno should be the primary concern for the Seahawks this offseason.

I like what the Broncos are doing at this point in the year and I'm extremely interested to see what they do this offseason. Outside of the Raiders, the AFC West could become extremely competitive in 2025.

I'll try to post some more in a bit...

Hey @Campbell did you create your picks in advance of the season like you have before?

Unfortunately, I did not. I didn't even have the time to put together a spreadsheet to make them.

    Been a crazy few months.

My picks all seem to stink royally, except for the Detroit Lions. I picked them early on to go to the SB and actually win it all... they still look like a team on a mission.

In the AFC, i picked the Texans, man that pick looks poor at the moment. Ravens are solid as can be, especially when Lamar is playing controlled football.

Darkhorse's for me... AFC - Bills and Chargers, throw in the Steelers, defenses are solid there. NFC - Eagles. Maybe Commanders, but they give points up. 49ers are a mystery team and I think they are beatable. NFC is weak in my opinion.

I left the Chiefs out of the conversation for now, because of the way they have been winning. Sure they are 9-0, but Im not impressed with how they got that way... a whole lotta real close games and unusual results. Im thinking they may get run out early come Playoffs. They seem to lack an identity offensively and I just dont see them able to sustain the 'lucky' 1 score wins especially come Playoffs.

Todays game between the Bills and Chiefs might change my mind a bit on the Chiefs if they can get a 'killer instinct' going and thats why they play the games.

That sucks. I was amazed at how you set that one up that I used for your picks in your absentia.
