I'm of the opinion that 1st round QB's(pretty much any QBs i guess) basically the longer you can sit them the better. Thats pretty much impossible in the case of a first overall pick for obv reasons, and there's a clock on other 1st rounders that there wasn't 20years ago. QB salaries are so astronomical now that winning while said QB is still on his rookie deal is one of the few viable routes to a championship anymore. But they can still be made to sit a while and i am totally in favour of it where possible, which NE is totally possible. Any NE fans who were getting in a froth cos Maye wasnt startng yet are idiots. Any fans who think this season is going anywhere for NE are certifiable. I don't even see a late season home game thats worth starting him tbh, i would be giving him nothing more than garbage time in games they've already been blown out. Giving him his first start against the Texans is particularly fucking dumb. Like you must've been the most slippery baby in the hospital dumb. Did they not see what Demeco Ryans did to Caleb Williams in week 2??! They blitzed the ass out of him and beat him to such a pulp that his future grandkids felt it. I guess im saying good luck kid. He's gonna need it.
I'm sure that he can, yes. Whether he has the stones to actually read it, I'm doubtful. Whether he'll actually read it and have any response other than aggressive / dismissive / defensive of his shitty beliefs, I'm going to say absolutely not a chance. And I appreciate your service.
LONDON -- The Jacksonville Jaguars plan to arrive to London later than expected Friday because of Hurricane Milton, the team confirmed ahead of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.
Oh Jesus give it a rest. Rape is a serious crime. Victims of rape deserve all the protection in the world. Including that bimbo from Vegas in the discussion is laughable.
"Rape is a serious crime and victims deserve protection, but ONLY if they come forward right away, meet my personal criteria of being worth it, and I believe them. Otherwise, I'll call them names and say that they were definitively not raped". - Beachbum
If I'm Trent Baalke, I'm placing a call to the team's travel coordinator and having return tickets cancelled for Doug Pederson, Press Taylor, Ryan Nielsen and Heath Farwell.
They (Stefanski) immediately announced Watson was going to remain the starter after last weeks game and now this week also. That tells me they know they are in hot water and it also implies and exemplifies exactly what Tim said about Haslam on the Browns board... Jimmy is the stubborn self centered conceded asshole behind all this. This is a complete travesty for the Browns team and their fans... it almost seems criminal too me. Fans ought to be getting their damn money back or something.
approximately $119,942,678 if he’s designated a post 6/1 cut…. Balloons to $200,676,678 before 6/1…. That’s a hard pill to swallow and don’t see any way out from under it either….. it’s a shame because they’re going to waste that defense, what am I saying…. They’re the browns, no sympathy , I’d hate to be a highly regarded QB, because just like the Jets, it seems like that’s where your QB career goes to die
In the Jets' case, bear in mind that Aaron Rodgers spent four days in a subterranean room in total darkness and then tripped out on ayahuasca before concluding that the Jets were The Future...
I don't know if external pressure, e.g demonstrations and protests, would be able to ease the removal of Haslam. If he remains does Berry remain? I think Stefanski barring a fairly dramatic turnaround, will be gone by year's end or sooner. If I were the Browns I'd just start over. Watson's contract has to be eaten next year, (probably as a June 1st). Which means trading anyone that has value now. (if they wouldn't be around until the Brown's earliest competitive window which I'm guessing is 26 at the earliest 27 most likely, then get value now).
Good post Triple 7.............and Kudos for your Lions waxing the Cowboys. The thing that bothers me the most about the Cleveland Browns is since the year 2000 they have Had 28 Starting QB's at the Helm and I think the QB with the BEST numbers was Brian Hoyer ? He played for 8 different NFL teams and did well in Cleveland...But what the Hell is wrong with Cleveland....they are a Storied Franchise and they just can't seem to latch a QB.....I thought maybe Baker Mayfield was going to take them to the promised land.
