Hahaahaa Point taken. My card was just returned to me unopened. There's just no winning here in Canada
This is the most satisfied I’ve been after a win in a while. It wasn’t perfect. But Caleb did a really good job. Running game got going. We saw adjustments. The defense bent but never broke. The Aussie was awesome. DJ Moore got engaged with a TD. There’s stuff to complain about but I will do that tomorrow.
I will continue to bet against the Bears when we play the Packers as an emotional hedge. Sadly it's a bet I never lose.
Watching that all-22 angle of the DJ TD, I was amazed at how fast he pulled the trigger on that throw. Watch him look left and as the pocket closes looks right and bam the ball is out with a dime on DJ. x.com
You can tell he knew where he wanted the ball presnap and the window was tight but the throw is perfect.
If anyone wants tape review without paying for it, or wants to see the game film with commentary, here ya go! Caleb Williams Week 4 vs the Rams 2024 Analysis (youtube.com)
The video is a doozy, y'all. Even with the win, it's clear there are still so many things to clean up offensively, and in the same glaring ways we saw early. Just so happens they got a few good plays right, and that was enough. Tells you how well the defense is doing, and how special the offense could be if they got this shit right. The comment that has made me chuckle the most so far: "This, to me, is not sound quarterback run game offense. Maybe they invented a new play, I don't know. But there are better ways to do this, and EVERYBODY IN FOOTBALL does it the better way. I hope this isn't what they drew up". The coaching is just bad. When you can't tell whether the play was designed shittily or the players on the field are fucking it up and making it shitty, that's on coaching either way. Either draw up a better play, or fix your install process to make sure guys are getting it right. It's week four - these simple fuckups shouldn't still be happening. I get that you had to coach Caleb, brand new QB in the league, to start right away. That's probably hard. But you went at it the wrong way, because these guys are clearly not ready to go out and play successful football more often than not. The amount of miscommunication all over the offense is still staggering. If it weren't for the Rams rolling over to the run, the offense sputters again, I'm sure. At least, that's what I'm seeing so far. Not to be a debbie downer - again, great win, team ran the ball and made the smart choices to not piss the game away when they had it. That's more than we've had, so I'll happily take it. But also, the above is still true for the offense as a whole.
I'll have to try again. The last time I opened the link it took me straight to some midget porn. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that would you tunafat..?
That wasn't midget porn that was the all-22 of the Bears offensive line getting bent over backward. Look at this gem of Backspin Jones last game https://www.youtube.com/shorts/CqQLzvMSwBw
