Latest Steeler mock, 2 days ago by Still Curtain. . He has 3 solid picks, the rest is total shit. First off I do not think Cam Ward makes it to Pittsburgh in round 2. Second drafting a CB that high won't happen. I cannot rule it out, but for me DL, QB, or WR will be the first two picks. They like JPJ and all the other complimentary pieces, but they need youth and talent in the WR and DL room. I mean this jagov drafts 2 quarterback, SMFH. The one DB I can see them taking if he is there is Maliki Starks.

    1. Travis Hunter CB Colorado Every year I have a CB who I think Pittsburgh will draft first, then they go trenches or skill position. Unless they bring him in, plus Johnson, Morris, and Burke, then maybe I think it could be CB in rd.1
    2. Cameron Ward QB Miami I like the player but he won't last or may not even get out of first round. I can see a team moving up with SF or KC to get him on a rookie deal if he slides into the late twenties.
    3. Nick Singleton RB Penn State Dumb dumb dumb. This is where you get a player like TJ Sanders, Shemar Turner, stranger things have happened, Walter Nolen could be available. But DL has to be addressed by now.
    4. Cobee Bryant CB Kansas Doubling up on CB, is this fucking douche canoe retarded. If anything you double up on WR. I swear, I do 20 mocks a week and I NEVER forget to draft a WR early, this numbnuts is clueless.
    5. Tyler Warren TE Penn State I like the pick, several TE in this draft around this slot I like including my man, Harold Fannin Jr.
    5. Xavier Truss OT Georgia depth at OT, I like the pick
    6. Alfred Collins DT Texas He is the 39th rated DL player in the draft, waited too fucking long.
    7. Will Howard QB Ohio State Hey fucktard, did you fall off the monkey bars a few too many times and hit your head on the way down. Dating myself he probably grew up in the Safe Playground Support area with soft plastic equipment, wood chips on the ground, and a Fun and Joy appointed moderator. And at what point where you drafting a WR?

I took BPA, trust me Cam Ward and Colston Loveland ain't going to go where I picked up, but I did strategy. I waited on DL only because their board allowed me to wait. So I got us a QB, two WR, two DL, a good safety, a late round RB and a Georgia OLineman. Took a flyer on a CB who excells at special teams and has fluid hips. I always have a balanced draft, on Pro Football network I get 10 picks so I go 5 O and 5 D.

Dream Draft ^ I got some Bang the table guys and some guys I really like. Ok It's Fantasy World, not be confused with Fantasy Football (I am a huge opponent of Fantasy Football, ie: Draft Kings, Gambling on NFL games etc.) Back on topic, Most of my picks are likely not available when I picked. I do find that drafting 15th on pro football network is closer to what I am buying, not 25th on NFLmockdraftdatabase Yeah Pittsburgh is 1-0 but the first part of the season is a cake walk, wait until after Thanksgiving. And we don't know what The Steelers got in Russell Wilson. But the issue is, they undervalue too many prospects, some of which I STOLE IN THIS SIMULATED EXERCISE.

picks 149 and 194 are liking winning Powerball. Even Graham at 15 is a 20,000 scratch ticket. Nolen @ 112 would equate to have gotten in on the Game Stop Stock a few years ago.
So my bang the table guys are 15,112,144,149. After 2 weeks do we know who is the best QB in The NCAA, no we don't. I want to see more of Ewers, Dart, Beck and Allar. This Saturday I will get to see Alabama vs. Wisconsin watching Milroe for the first time in 2024. . I already saw enough of Sanders and Leonard to know I like the afore mentioned QBs better. Excited to see Cam Ward even though the game is vs. Ball State, I have the ACC network. I actually have the BigTen network and the SEC network. too. My third game will be LSU vs. South Carolina, my focus will be on TJ Sanders, a Karl Dunbar type of prospect. LSU has a pair of bookend tackles. Even a potential shelving of Smith this weekend, it's more of a let's see what we got in Fantanu moment and Smith underperforming thing. I need to see Broderick Jones as LT for a series of games before I label him an overdraft I am still in his camp. Back on topic, neither LSU OT will be a target, being projected first rounders, but I will put them on my board, too much value in the position to not list them.

Watched a bunch of College Ball. Best QB in college right now doesn't even start, Arch Manning. Ewers dinged up, not sure how bad.
Carson Beck looked average, missed some throws. Big NO to Deone Walker, slow and overweight. Kentucky fought like crazy, I really liked the Kentucky safety play. Starks with and obvious PI, Dane Key looked solid. I think Georgia went in over confident, they were beaten on the line both sides of the ball. Kentucky RB Sumo-Karngbaye got a lot of yards after contact, tough runner.
LSU's OT wore down the South Carolina D line. TJ Sanders not overly impressed but not saying he won't play at the next level.
Luther Burden is the real deal, have not seen McMillan play yet. I did like the WR2 for Missouri Theo Wease, (pronunced wise) could be a solid NFL WR. Projected mid day 3, I can def see it.
Impressed with Alabama, and Milroe. Wisconsin was overmatched, but once Van Dyke was hurt, I switched games, but yeah it was over before then. SEC has too much speed for the Big 10.
Didn't finish watching the Miami game, need to see Ward vs. better competition. Word is he is the front runner for the Heisman. I would not discount Milroe though.
Watched some of Oregon, really like the TE Ferguson.

Cats played great defensively, quick to the ball... they have really good ball-hawks going for them. Beck's first half was a junk, but he recovered well in the 2nd. Im wondering if a showing like that may drop him down a bit stock-wise? Kentucky basically shut down Georgia's run-game also, held their RB's to under 100 yards total, maybe due to OL Tate Ratledge being injured, Im not sure.

Wouldnt surprise me to see Georgia take a hit in the rankings next week (which would be ok in my book).

I seen the Toledo Rockets game at Mississippi State and was surprised and impressed at the same time. Rockets were double-digit dogs and blew MSU off the line on both sides of the ball winning, 41-17. Im thinking a couple rockets might get drafted again in 2025.

I would drop Georgia as well. 1. Texas 2. Alabama 3. Georgia 4. Ole Miss Not convinced on Ohio State yet, they need to play someone other than Bumfuck State. I think their first big test will be against Oregon, Ducks looked pretty good.

I am still searching for the DL guy who looks like a first round pick. Graham is a lock but I need to see him against a good OL like USC. It's hard because sometimes stats don't always tell you the story. I keep saying DL early, but I think WR and QB might take precedence. Who knows what Pittsburgh has in Wilson. Fields numbers would be betters without all those splash plays being called back. I know Roman Wilson will contribute eventually, I still think they target WR in round 1. 4 guys with first round grade, but I think the value is at CB, which might not be a need. Some of the CB's taken in round 2 this year are playing really well. (Lassiter for one) So I ran a simulator today, I know I know, shocking. Focused on need BPA. I grabbed two DL, I think you can never have enough guys in the trenches. My last pick was one I've taken before, Jonah Monheim. LIke Spencer Anderson he has 5 spot versatility. Couple of Ke new guys both Kentucky guys That Defense was Nasty. Only one WR, but he's the next Cheetah I believe. upload_2024-9-17_15-12-4.png

Expect my pick at 148 to rise a little, Dumas-Johnson. This is one of the first times I picked Cam Ward, I keep moving him up my board. Jadyn Ott is interesting, ran for 1300 yards and 12 TD's last year and if they do not resign Najee he would be a good option in the draft. Still took a TE, if 'Muth has another concussion, Darnell is then your #1 TE, great player, but he doesn't add to the passing game like #88 does. Even though both Warren and Fannin were available I look at level of competition and size, Warren edges him out. Plus Penn State is a TE Factory.

Note on draft above, I picked up a 2026 2nd rounder. Missed out on the TE's but they might not even draft one in April, given the current roster. I think the steal was the Iowa RB in the 7th, he is leading the nation in YPC. Could not pass on Tre Harris, he is 4th in receiving yards. McMillan is 2nd, it'll be interesting between him and Burden who goes first since the Wildcat is just a bigger dude.

I personally like Dart better... as of right now.

Willie Dart was gone, wo I went with Ward. If you notice a pattern you will see I keep drafting Jonah Monheim. He is playing Center for USC this year, but has played Tackle. For a 7th rounder you get a guy who could presumably play all 5 spots on the line. USC plays Michigan tomorrow at 3:30, let's see how he does vs. Grant and Graham.

Not as balanced, but I am injecting some real weapons into the Offense. I doubled down on WR, our current roster has a WR1 and a bunch of backups. Roman Wilson may play this Sunday, that will tell me more. He fell in the draft IMHFO, hope Kahn stole him in rd. 3. Back to this mock, traded back and I got, for me, the second best TE in the draft, but I took 3 Offensive players bang bang bang. Bond is another Chettah, Ferguson will upgrade either Pruitt or Heyward. I took Hairston, because the dude plays like his hair is on fire, he gave Georgia fits. Waited on DL only because I could see Turner would make it to 117. This is a pattern of taking Alfred Collins too, he has the DT measurables that coach Dunbar looks for, at least I think so. (6-5 320) He has heavy hands and his tackling will need to be coached up, but he could be the backup for Benton. Again something tells me a few of the DL players will be gone in 2025 in FA. Willie I made you happy, I took Dart, he was available. A new face here is LSU's Kyren Lacey, scouting report says he runs good routes and has the size to get off the line of scrimmage. Again I took Kaleb Johnson, it is a late pick on a player leading the nation in rushing. Two more new faces, instead of waiting on Monheim, I picked an OT from Georgia, Ernest Green III something similar to Dan Moore Jr, a 4th round pick at 139 that has a good pedigree.. (Moore was taken 128). You need special teams players and depth, Smael Monden is very productive and replaces Matekeivich who is getting injured a lot. Shemar Turner is a familar face to my mocks, eventual replacement for Larry Ogunjobi.

I am going to run a simulator on NFL mock draft data base, Pro Football Network doesn't have Tommi Hill CB Nebraska, I have him on my board right after he pick 6'ed Sanders. Some team will take Sanders in the first, I am passing on him, not sure if he even makes my board. I think he has talent, great arm, speed, just don't think he sees the entire field. His OL sucks, even factoring in that, it's a no for me. The more I think about it, it was Kentucky's Defense that gave the #1 overall pick in the draft (prediction) Carson Beck, some real fits. But I didn't care for Deion Walker, another gigantic dude who might be better at 320 instead of 360. Steelers tried that once, kid out of Tennessee, Dan McCullers, not mobile or agile enough, and didn't play to his measurables.

Keep trying to draft Tommi Hill, rated 226, but he went 146. So he is gone by 160, me thinks the next big board that comes out he goes way up. Traded back from 60 with LAR who nabbed Antoine Welles, which is good for them, but I already had Egbuka and they did not need a QB. That trade ended up adding pick 165 and traded 194 for 202. I passed on Jordan Burch at 142, knew I could still get DL help later on, but Lacey was sitting there and the Steelers offense right now sucks. Stlcrtn will be happy, I did grab a Michigan RB, it was real good value in the 4th. NFL Mock Draft Database doesn't have Kaleb Johnson, I think I would have preffered to go RB at pick 202. Armand Membou is an interesting guy, 6-3 320 has super quick feet, playing OT at Missouri but he will be a guard in the NFL. Somehow though Kelvin Beechum is still playing OT at 6-3, so never say never.

What I ended up with is this draft. It's on X if you follow me

    25. Emeka Egbuka WR Ohio State consensus #3 WR, easy choice
    61. Drew Allar QB Penn St. Dart was gone, Allar is young, sit and learn.
    91. Shemar Turner DL South Carolina no brainer, need young DL help
    126. Donovan Edwards RB Michigan highly rated RB, value was there
    142. Kyren Lacy WR LSU not a sleeper, yet, watch him rise.
    160. Malachi Moore S Alabama solid S and the fact they brought back Edmunds and Sutton lets me know secondary may be a day 3 target in April. I don't see day 1 or 2, need WR and DL help, maybe a QB.
    165. Gentry Williams CB Oklahoma has an injury history, I keep forgetting that, he runs a sub 4.3 at 6-0. Harold Fannin Jr. was available, consider it a mulligan, it's early in the season, I got time to polish my skills
    194. Armand Membou OL Missouri Bruce Feldman's Freak List, a guy this big should not moving this fast (1.63 at 10 yards), he has a background in wrestling, sound familiar?
    215. Riley Mills DL Notre Dame saw one ND game, maybe not his best, willing to watch him again. but at this spot in the draft, it was worth a gamble.
    226. Francisco Mauigoa LB Miami I doubt he lasts, 3 down LB that can cover, will be a core Special Teamer and replace Big Red.

Watched some Kentucky vs. Ohio. Dane Key stock up. Bummed Maxwell Hairston dinged up but returned after a shoulder injury and had a pick 6.
LSU vs. UCLA, Brodyn Swinson is unblockable. Holy Crap dude is fast.
Michigan dominating USC, Graham and Grant def on Steelers radar. Impressed on the edge with Josiah Stewart and the running of Edwards.
